Speedy deletion nomination of Parkyourads

Hey, Selva, I saw your note on the article's talk page. I just wanted to let you know that, although I understand why HMSSolent nominated it as spam, I decided not to delete it for that reason. However, the article did meet another of our criteria for speedy deletion, so I did end up deleting it. The problem was that you didn't show any reason to think that Parkyourads was particularly significant or important. You see, at Wikipedia, we don't strive to have articles about everything in existence; we try to have articles on those things we consider notable. Notability on Wikipedia means, at the barest minimum, that a subject has received significant coverage in multiple reliable sources that are independent of each other and the subject itself. I'm afraid that your article didn't have any sources like these, and I couldn't find any after a quick search; indeed, your article didn't even give the impression that there would be any.

Don't worry about it too much, though! Wikipedia's rules can be pretty complicated at times, and everyone messes them up at some point; nobody will hold it against you. It's pretty fun once you get the hang of it, and there's lots of stuff to do, so don't let it get to you.
