Michael J. Sadowsky
editHello and thank you for your draft on Michael J. Sadowsky. I'm inclined to accept it, as he meets our academic notability criteria, but i just have to clarify a few things before I do so. Do you have any sort of personal connection with him? I saw that you uploaded a photo that you were provided by him, and there were a few statements in the draft that seemed to be based on personal knowledge, as I wasn't able to find them in the sources. If you know him personally or have any other sort of relationship with him (e.g. being paid to create the page), you're required to follow Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines. In short, you have to declare your relationship to the subject either on the talk page of the draft or on your user page, and if you want to make any major edits to the page once it is accepted you should post an edit request on the talk page instead of editing the article directly. Looking forward to hearing from you, Spicy (talk) 13:52, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
Yes, he’s my uncle. Where should I add that on the talk page? Seitzman (talk) 23:54, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
- I added it [1] and accepted the draft. Thanks for your contribution. :) There are two more minor issues. It would be good to add some more secondary sources to the "career" section rather than citing his own papers - Wikipedia tries to stick to what independent sources say about the subject. And I've removed the image from the article, as I'm not sure of its copyright status. WP is very strict on copyright, and we can only use images released under a compatible license. If you took the picture, or you know the person who did, you (or them) can release it under an appropriate license through the process described here. Otherwise, though, it will have to be deleted.
