Ways to improve Blackbird (codec)

Hi, I'm Nick Moyes. Seanjmcm, thanks for creating Blackbird (codec)!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. I'm not convinced your sources demonstrate this subject meets WP:NSOFT as they point only to patents and company-released news (RNS Number: 7846U). If you can find multiple independent 3rd party sources that have actually written about it in depth, it would stand more chance of surviving a articles for deletion discussion. I will monitor and come back in a week or so to see if it has been further enhanced.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Nomination of Blackbird (codec) for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Blackbird (codec) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Blackbird (codec), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( in the enhanced toolbar, or if you use the old "classic" toolbar) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Normal People

Please note that "Book:" namespace is not for making Wikipedia articles about books; it is for a special type of internal Wikiproject where our content is made into and republished as reference books where we're the authors of the book. A regular article about somebody else's book uses the same title format as any other Wikipedia article, namely just the name of the topic itself with no prefix in front of it — but the novel Normal People already has an article, so any further edits you want to make to it belong there.
