June 2008 edit

The links you added to Chad Durbin are unnecessary under WP:EL. Please familiarize yourself with what is and is not an appropriate external link on Wikipedia. In addition, introducing the same reverted information into an article repeatedly can be classified as vandalism. Adding links into the main article space could also cause problems. The links have now been removed three times over a span of several weeks. Please refrain from adding them again. Thank you. KV5Squawk boxFight on! 18:37, 9 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Chad Durbin's page edit

KV5: Why did you edit the addition to Chad Durbin's page? He is blogging on Prolebrity.com and I thought it was relevent to people interested in him.

Blogs are not reputable sources. In addition, the term prolebrity is a neologism, which Wikipedia does not cover. This means it is a term which will not or has not yet gained wide use. These edits to the pages of each player using this blog site may easily be construed as advertising, also forbidden in Wikipedia articles. Please see also the reasons I provided above upon removal. Wikipedia is not a fansite. Those sites are plentiful on the Internet, and if that is what you are here for, you are in the wrong place. Please read what Wikipedia is not, at the link above, if you have further questions. I believe that I have explained myself as thoroughly as I can. Thank you. I must also caution you against reintroducing deleted material. An adminstrator already deleted your article regarding "prolebrity" and you reintroduced it. Administrators have reasons for deleting, just as members have reasons for nominating for deletion. If you reintroduce this material again, you may be blocked from editing.
