Can we please stop this?

These signatures with colored backgrounds are disruptive and annoying. They distract from the rest of the content on the talk pages and frankly look pretty ugly on the page. If you want to create custom signatures you could do much better than these blocky garish sigs that clash with the rest of the talk page content. Having this "signature shop" is just encouraging more of these to proliferate. Please stop. Even better, please try to change the sigs displayed here to improve their aesthetics. To Doug:
I was about to close the shop when I was leaving Wikipedia. My mind was changed when I looked at Wikipedian articles doing research for my school.
I saw many spelling mistakes in the manatee article, and, after viewing it, I quickly signed in, fixed the spelling error, and decided to rejoin Wikipedia.
