Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sean Taylor (singer-songwriter)

edit

Greetings, Sean Taylor Songs, and welcome to Wikipedia's deletion process! Thank you for your contributions. As a newcomer, it may be helpful for you to read Wikipedia's deletion policy, and the pages describing the articles for deletion process, proposed deletion, and speedy deletion. Remember that deletion debates are not votes, and reasons matter, especially reasons relating to the central content policies of verifiability, neutral point of view, no original research, and what Wikipedia is not, and to the consensual community guidelines for biographies, corporations, music, and fiction. Also remember that deletion is not always the answer to a bad article. Feel free to drop me a line at my talk page if you have any questions. Again, welcome! Thanks for the message ...
Just to clarify I am contesting the deletion and I have just updated the page that it was said would be deleted. I have updated the bio, links and I am trying to change the pic (not sure how to do this?) if that is the problem ... Please advise Sean Taylor Songs (talk) 08:19, 24 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi there, I came across the article while going through pages that needed more citations, and thought it didn't meet Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion based on notability WP:GNG and the specific one for singers WP:SINGER. I nominated it for deletion which means there can now be a discussion at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Sean_Taylor_(singer-songwriter) to reach on consensus on whether the article should be deleted or not. So far, one person has suggested it should be kept as they found two articles they consider support the notability of the subject. Generally, subjects of Wikipedia articles should have received significant coverage in sources that are reliable and independent of the subject. However, Wikipedia is not a place to promote things, and it is discouraged to write articles about yourself or someone you are closely connected to, and if doing so you should declare that on the article talk page. Your best chance of keeping the article is familiarising yourself with these policies and making sure the article complies. You may also want to read WP:SPA. Best of luck. Thank you for the message ...
I have since massively updated the page and article so I would ask if you could reconsider your attempt to delete it ...
