Speedy deletion nomination of User:Sean C. Murphy edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Sean C. Murphy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. EvergreenFir (talk) 22:28, 15 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • What an odd deletion request. It appears EvergreenFir confused your User page with an actual article, perhaps after drinking too much holiday eggnog. If he had any actual problems with it, he could have simply edited it and left you a message. As I can't see it, I can make no conjectures. However, many User pages include information about the user, that being rather the point of a User page. Hence the name. I suggest you click on the link to have it restored. Actually, I just stopped by to suggest you might be interested in contributing to Society/Issues/Labor at Curlie in addition to creating your own wiki. Good luck and best wishes in whatever you do. 71.23.178.214 (talk) 14:45, 21 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Hi 71.23.178.214, thanks for the post and the invite to contribute to the labor portal. I actually forked an article from there onto my wiki. You can probably find it by searching workerweb and then poking around a little. If you take a look at our "Support Workerpedia" page you will see what we are trying to develop. Maybe you would be interested in being an editor for our wiki. We are developing very different editorial policies, because our goals are different, but we could really use the input of experienced Wikipedia editors in creating pages and in developing policies. Unfortunately, right now we are underfunded and understaffed, and we won't be doing very much work on the wiki in the next couple of months because I have been doing most of the content work myself and I have another commitment that is taking priority. Hop on over to my wiki and send me an email if you want to chat more. - Sean
