Re Draft:Squadron 42

I see you have created a draft for Squadron 42, largely by copy-pasting the Star Citizen article. A couple of things you need to be aware of:

Firstly, the notability required to meet Wikipedia policies needs to be established through substantial third-party coverage of the topic itself. I have seen little in the way of such coverage, except in the broader context of Star Citizen. As it stands, the draft would almost certainly fail an AfD discussion, since it fails to demonstrate such independent coverage. See Wikipedia:Notability for the relevant policy.

Secondly, if you copy-paste content from one article to another, you must make this clear, per the attribution instructions in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

I've only copied the Star Citizen content as a starting point, until the article is submitted, this quite clearly isn't going to be the end result. As of right now, this article is going to be an example to make my case about spinning off the article in the first place. Worst case the final product doesn't meet notability and is deleted. Keep the Japanese video game titles intact.

You know that a game like Armored Core was made in Japan and had its title spelt with Latin characters. Still, I hope you realize this: Many people in Japan pronounce the name "Armored Core" as "Āmādo Koa" and spell it like "アーマード・コア" because English-language words are pronounced differently in Japan, so keep the Japanese video game titles intact, and don't remove them. Of course people who speak Japanese can spell the name in English letters, but most prefer using Kanji and Romanji to understand the name easier for Japanese language. Good articles and Featured articles about Japanese video games have the 'nihongo foot' template, so please keep this in mind. «ias!|_,,.|^usbk» 06:23, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

@I'm Aya Syameimaru!: I reverted your original change because of an earlier edit that User:Odokee made that I agreed with. The game is made in Japan, but nothing about the title is Japanese in nature. Also to clarify, Romaji uses the Latin alphabet and Kanji is not used in the series titles, there are a small number of box arts in the series that use Katakana underneath the Latin title.

On your first point, people in Japan pronouncing the title as "Āmādo Koa" being a justification is a bit of a stretch. I'm aware that other articles do this, but more often than not its due to a fundamental difference between the two titles (see: The Witcher and Resident Evil) or because the game was marketed with Kana/Kanji in Japan and translated overseas (see: Persona 2: Innocent Sin). What we have here is none of those. Pronunciation differences due to vocal nuances aren't notable enough for inclusion alone, there needs to be something more substantial.

On your second point, you claim that "many people" spell it with Kana, but don't provide much evidence to support that. On From Software's official site, the Latin spelling is both the primary box title and the primary product title on the page, Kana is included but just underneath the Latin spelling and given smaller prominence. In this Armored Core 2 commercial, the Latin title is prominently displayed. In this Last Raven commercial, the same thing is true.

I'd like to direct you towards MOS:VG, specifically the part that writes "If a game was originally titled using the Latin alphabet, there is no need to include its title in any other writing system." I referenced that in my original revert, but I'm retaining here, since that line from MOS is what drove me to agree with Odokee's initial change and reinforce that change. Okay, now I understand. Well I guess I leave the title as it is. I remember that on February 2, 2020, you added the 'nihongo foot' template to the article, then two months later Odokee removes it from the page, and now I just agreed with you about the name of the game.
