editWelcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Papal Seminary , did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. You have been warned by three people about your additions. It is a huge wall of text that would make it one of the largest articles. It is promotional. It is not-encyclopedic. There are very dubious refs... a person needs to find the refs and saying unpublished sources and titles does nothing. There are quotes with no refs. Bgwhite (talk) 07:30, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you bagwhite for your timely personal corrections. I am just worried about the facts in the page Papal Seminary Pune. Yes I am just knew to wikipedia and have less skills. but the reverted article is not the real fact and one of the wiki's policy to be neutral and to give facts to the readers. I don't know how to reconcile with this. Kindly help me out with it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sdpaul90 (talk • contribs) 07:39, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
- I was sort of doing the same thing you did when I started out on Wikipedia. The two best words of advice I got were: 1) Start small. Make smaller changes instead of big ones. 2) Look at similar Wikipedia pages and copy from them.
- Make sure you have references. Placing them at the bottom with just titles doesn't help. At the minimum, there should be one ref per paragraph.
- To give you a frame of reference, the India page is about 60% smaller than the one you put up.
- Being from India, I'm not sure of your English skills. We get a range of just knowing the basics to native speakers. If you are more comfortable talking with someone in your native tongue, tell me and I can find someone. I'm not saying I don't want to help, just want what is best to help you out.
