Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to Marukome USA. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is strongly discouraged. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. FreplySpang 02:16, 8 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Sorry, no. Press releases are problematic for two reasons: they are promotional instead of neutral, and they are copyrighted. Wikipedia can't legally accept copyrighted material. Thanks for checking. If you're interested in writing articles for Wikipedia, you might want to check out our guide to your first article and our welcome page. • While the pages mentioned above don't say "No press releases" in so many words, they do emphasize that articles must be neutral and cannot be copied from other places. In order to write a neutral article about Marukame USA, you need to get information from reliable sources that are not connected with Marukame. The Orange County Register article you found is a good start. Nearly all of the information in the press release is either highly promotional or not on-topic (like the discussion of the benefits of miso). That's fine for a press release, which is intended to promote the company, but not what Wikipedia is looking for. Best, FreplySpang 02:41, 8 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • I don't think I'll be around much longer this evening - you might want to find someone else. Try the Wikipedia:Help Desk. FreplySpang 02:59, 8 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
