Welcome to Wikipedia, Scrotal69! I am Nz26 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! Jacob Ginsberg edit
The article Jacob Ginsberg has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Speedy deletion of Jacob Ginsberg edit
A tag has been placed on Jacob Ginsberg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello there, and thanks for your message. Just for information, I haven't deleted it at all; I just put a notice on your page saying that it was likely to be deleted.
The reason that this keeps happening is that Wikipedia requires articles about people to demonstrate their notability; see here. If, as you say, he attracted front-page coverage of a newspaper then what you need to do is put it in as a reference (put in a link to it). Talk to the Gogo Dodo chappie nicely and he might restore your article; what you then need to do is put in some reliable sources to show how notable he is. Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button 
located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 19:51, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
Jacob Ginsberg Article edit
I had four sited listed for the article I wrote for Jacob Ginsberg. However, many of my other sources are humans that have either employed Jacob with the Zephyrs, or his co-workers, and therefore do not have websites. - One of the pillars of Wikipedia is verifiablity. The sources would have to be quoted somewhere in a verifiable source. For instance, I cannot add something to an entry that says "Wperdue is the greatest thing to ever happen to Wikipedia". I can, however, put that information in if it is attributable to a verifiable and reliable source. If Katie Couric says that I am the greatest thing that ever happened to Wikipedia, then I can add it and link back to that source. I would still not meet the notability requirements because that requires significant non-trivial coverage. If three news anchors all report it or someone dedicates an entire newscast to me for some significant achievement then I would meet the standard. I hope that explains things better.
