Web X edit

A tag has been placed on Web X, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -Ravedave 04:47, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices, as you did with Web X. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you.

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Web X. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Pekaje 12:43, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well I didn't mean to!! I was just updating a bunch of the code and must have deleted it on accident. I apologize. I have a lot of work to do though, so if something is accidentally deleted during the updates I apologize for that ScrappeyDP 13:01, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Just so you know, wikipedia has a nofollow attribute set meaning that adding your links to wikipedia will not help its position in google rankings. -Ravedave

I'm not sure why you would be telling me that...? I am not trying to be ranked on google, or anything like that...? I'm just trying to provide insight. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ScrappeyDP (talkcontribs)

Wikipedia is not for things made up in school one day, neither is it for terms created on a forum. Please drop this nonsense. --Imroy 15:55, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Excuse me? I didn't make anything up in "school"... I don't go to "school"... I already have a graduate degree. I will not drop the nonsense because I've put time into it. And you can reject me for the time being if you wish, but eventually you will end up understanding, then you'll feel foolish. Just let me put my page here and if you don't like it don't come to look at it. It's useful for other though! — Preceding unsigned comment added by ScrappeyDP (talkcontribs)

The 'school' part is just an example. A lot of school students use and edit Wikipedia, and apparently they often want to write about something they did or talked about during the day. In your case, you came up with your idea on a forum. Pretty similar, really. The thing you have to understand is that this web site has a very clear aim and describes in detail what sort of content is and isn't accepted. If you can't follow the guidelines, that is your problem. Don't expect us to bend our rules just because you've put a lot of time into something. The rules exist for a reason. This is an encyclopaedia. We can't have everyone writing about every insignificant idea or conversation topic here. --Imroy 16:38, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

It wasn't "made up in a forum one day"... But whatever, I'll just wait for SOMEONE ELSE to put it up, or request it... Insignificant, yeah right... Obviously you're using it (without even knowing it).. And if you're using it and everyone else who's accessing wikipedia, and wikipedia itself is a part of it...?
