fair use violation on your page

Hello Scott, you have to remove the Sims 2 image from your page, because it is a copyrighted image, and according to Wikipedia's Fair Use policy, such images can only be used within articles that are discussing the subject. Excuse me, but the Springfield bus is also a copyrighted image and therefore not allowed on userpages. If you are scanning through articles to find an image you like, be sure to click on the image first, and read its description page. Your user page and subpages

Hello. I noticed that you've created a number of subpages in your userspace. These pages raise concerns similar to those I raised previously about similar tables on your user page. As I said before, this content is redundant, and its placement on your user page seems to serve no purpose towards helping the Wikipedia project. According to Wikipedia:User page, "pages kept in userspace should not be designed to functionally substitute for articles or Wikipedia space pages," and "this space is not intended to indefinitely archive your preferred version of disputed or previously deleted content." You have labeled the pages as tests, one would assume for the relevant articles, but there seems to be no indication that you intend to edit the relevant articles. Indeed, a number of the subpages contain an introduction stating in one way or another, "I made this page to follow the DVD results of the show." I've made a table.

If you cannot demonstrate that these subpages are intended to ultimately contribute to the encyclopedia, I will likely nominate them for deletion.

Also, I've noticed that you have decided to list your contributions for the last month on your user page. It appears that you are unaware that your contributions can be seen by anyone at Special:Contributions/ScottAHudson. As such, this section of your user page is redundant. It is also unproductive; I noticed that you have been editing your user page to add to your list of contributions the last edit you made to add to your list of contributions. I'm not sure what purpose this serves. While your user page contains enough appropriate information that I do not intend to nominate it for deletion, I recommend you remove the section listing your contributions.

I noted at the MfD that at the time 1812 of your 2262 edits since February 1 had been to your userpage; 414 of your 445 edits since then have been to either your userspace or the MfD.[1] As I said before, it seems that you are more focused on working on your userspace than working on improving the encyclopedia, and while those two are not necessarily mutually exclusive, they appear to be in this case. Um, it appears that since my comment you've made around 70 edits, about two of which have been outside of your userspace. (It's hard to tell, because it looks like you edit from multiple ip addresses without logging in.) Once you've finished making changes to one of your subpages and applied the finished product to an article, you should place {{db-userreq}} on the page so that it can be deleted. Test pages are meant to be just that - tests. Once you've finished testing the edits you'd like to make to articles and done so, you should have the test page deleted. Big Brother 8 (US) voting history

Hi. I see that you propose merging the contents of Big Brother 8 (US) voting history into the main article. There are several procedures for having inappropriate pages removed from Wikipedia. It seems unlikely that this one would qualify for speedy deletion. If the merge is uncontested, it could be nominated by the proposed deletion process. If its removal is likely to be contested and it does not qualify for speedy, it can go through Articles for deletion. Until the article is deleted, however, unless it is a copyright problem or an attack page, the contents should remain. It sounds like you think starting a separate account or removing the word "Test" from the title of your subpages affects their status or acceptability. Unless they contribute to the project, these subpages will not be allowed. Even though that requirement is applied rather loosely, I personally don't see how the duplication of content for your personal use contributes to the project. And regardless, the use of fair use images in anything but the article mainspace is forbidden. The other ones that were deleted were deleted because they also did not contribute. It's pretty clear that you create most of the pages so that you can edit them while you watch the shows on DVD. Regardless, they are forks of the actual articles that serve no purpose. Test pages are supposed to be used to "test" your edits before you add them to articles. You may be making significant changes to a large section of an article, or working on a complex table. But the end product should be something that contributes to the project. Making a test page so that you can have it speedily deleted is obviously of no use to anyone. What I am trying to explain is that they should be put up for deletion a day or two after they are done. Some of them were nowhere near done. I believe that you are the one re-adding the empty column for the next episode in the Voting history table for Survivor: China, since the IP that continues to add the column is also editing your "test" pages. Per my reasoning at the Talk page discussion, the column is unnecessary. I realize that you are excited about the next episode, but since the column contains no useful information when it is empty, it is unnecessary. When I am unblocked, I will no longer be using a user page. I am taking a Web Page design class in high school next semester and might be able to learn how to make a Web page, similar to Wikipedia, with some of the same features. ScottAHudson 21:34, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Hello Scott, I once wrote to you about your page and subpages. Considering that you have an obvious love for various TV shows and strong opinions about how to present them, I suggest that you look into the programs listed at Personal wiki and see if one of them suits your needs.
