Blanche Bruce

Here's what I wrote on the talk page: "I haven't found a reference for the date yet, but 9-years-old was a typical age for a slave boy to begin an apprenticeship. 19 would have been considered a late age. My bet would on 1850 being correct." In the German wikipedia article, I'd leave the date out until a citation can be found. —D. Monack | talk 18:49, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment.
