Hi! If a notable person attends a school in a particular town/city/etc., but never resided in the actual municipality, does that still qualify them to be listed as a notable resident/person from this town/city/etc. ? Thanks! Schwindy (talk) 17:36, 8 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Personally, I do not think so, but that's just my opinion. The best place to ask that question is at the article's talk page, to see what the consensus is. Singularity42 (talk) 17:43, 8 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

I take exception to your tag that the article reads like an advertisement. I just wrote it from sources. Tell me, what touts it as an advertisement? Shemp Howard, Jr. (talk) 17:19, 15 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

The basis for my flag was some of the language isn't something that you would see in an encyclopedic/informational article, but more in the fashion that you would expect in an advert for the legal firm (i.e. "offering a wide variety of legal services from estate planning to utilities regulation"). Not an attack on the article, just a suggestion. Schwindy (talk) 17:32, 15 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
Got it! I will fix that and try to improve the article in the meantime!Shemp Howard, Jr. (talk) 17:43, 15 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Stub tags

edit

Please take care not to add {{stub}} to an article which already has a specific stub tag, as you did to Partha (film). It just wastes other editors' time. Thanks. PamD 08:34, 13 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I've removed the PROD tag on this article, after adding a reference. If you still believe that this article shouldn't exist then take it to AfD. Please inform me if you do so. Regards. Hitro talk 21:30, 14 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Stacy Sanches

edit

Hi there. As you can see the bolding is messed up (per WP:MOS) in the lead for the Stacy Sanches article, hence my changes. Perhaps you can fix it how you see fit. Thanks for your contributions. SarahStierch (talk) 06:24, 22 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello - I just went in trying to fix some of the punctuation. Still getting the feel for the HTML. Will try to clean it up some more. Thanks! Schwindy (talk) 06:39, 22 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Living Persons

edit

Hello. I was looking for some help with the BLP guidelines. In reviewing articles, I've come across many submissions for sports team members (mainly footballers in European, African, and South American leagues) and the extent of their bio is "Joe Smith plays this position for this team," and sometimes they will include a stat box for the person. The only resources they use to cite this submission is usually the team page that has a brief profile on each player. My biggest question is since this person is, in fact, a member of a professional or semiprofessional sports team/club, do this meet the criteria for notability? Thanks for your help! Schwindy (talk) 08:35, 22 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Looking at this category for example, I'm inclined to say yes. Also look at sports notability guidelines a bit closer: my interpretation is that playing in a sufficiently important game appears to be enough. Gryllida (talk) 09:00, 22 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Stub tags again

Please take more care not to add {{stub}} to an article which already has a specific stub tag, as you did at Indulekha (film). Thanks. PamD 09:09, 30 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
