Welcome!

Hello, Scaryspoofy1, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like More Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted (if it hasn't already).

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Wuhwuzdat (talk) 23:09, 26 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Monsters and Mysteries in America, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nightstalker (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

A note on navboxes

edit

I noticed a few edits you have made to navboxes - film navboxes in particular. As navboxes should be bi-directional (i.e. every article included in the navbox should have the navbox transcluded on the article), it is impractical to include cast, crew, film studio, etc, etc., in the navboxes, otherwise these articles would end up with dozens and dozens of navboxes. --Rob Sinden (talk) 13:10, 26 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Chucky: Slash & Dash

edit

Hello, Scaryspoofy1. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Chucky: Slash & Dash, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ad Orientem (talk) 23:55, 5 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without verifying permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:17, 9 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Another administrator has changed this block to indefinite rather than temporary after noting that you have been repeatedly warned about this behavior but have continued. If you wish to continue editing Wikipedia, please review Wikipedia:Copy-paste and the policies it links to. You can appeal your block here as described above, but will need to convince the administrator who reviews your appeal that you understand our copyright policies and will comply with them. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:27, 10 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

lesson learned, feel free to unblock me

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. "Lesson learned" does not show us that you understand what you did wrong and how to avoid it in the future. only (talk) 03:18, 14 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I've never done anything "destructive" on this site or anything deemed "vandalism." All of my contributions have been helpful and expansive. View my recent contributions. Block is unnecessary and no further copyrights will be violated.

Decline reason:

If you do not understand how serious copyright violations can potentially be, then I can only conclude that you have either not read or not comprehended the appropriate policies. As such, since I can't be sure that you understand what constitutes a copyright violation, I cannot be sure that you will be able to abide by your promise not to post any more of them. Proposed deletion of Spine Chillers (books)

edit

The article Spine Chillers (books) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article on short-lived book series that does not appear to pass the WP:GNG. There are currently no valid sources included in the article. I searched for sources on the book series as a whole, as well as for each of the four books individually, and was unable to find any kind of coverage or reviews on any of them in reliable sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
