Sorry if the message confused you. When users edit while logged out, obviously they have no username so the only way to identify them is with their IP address. Someone using that IP address vandalised that article, so I left a warning on the IP's talk page. Sometimes several computers can share an IP address, and sometimes (especially if you are an AOL user) your IP address can change quite often, so it's possible that this IP address was then reassigned to your computer. When you first loaded Wikipedia you weren't logged in yet, so you were shown messages for the IP address.
