Welcome edit

Hello, Sashak90, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits to the page Jennifer Hudson have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and have been reverted. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

There is a page about the verifiability policy that explains the policy in greater detail, and another that offers tips on the proper ways of citing sources. If you are stuck and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Plastikspork (talk) 07:28, 7 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Incorrect information edit

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Hot Dance Club Songs. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. - eo (talk) 19:28, 8 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contribution to this list, but unfortunately it doesn't conform with the list's source. While your edits may reflect more up-to-date figures, as the article says, "This is the list of the top 100 best-selling music artists in the United States only as of December 2008 and based on certifications of albums by the RIAA." To conform to that source, we really can't update the list until the new figures are released in December 2009.

If you want to discuss this or the list, please feel free to leave a note at my talk page or at the article's talk page. Thank you. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:54, 4 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unsourced voice types edit

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of previously published material to our articles . Please cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you. — ξxplicit 00:07, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Voice types edit

Sashak90 I am disturbed by your massive addition of voice types to articles on wikipedia. First of all, you do not seem to understand what many of these terms are. Most of the terms you have applied to articles are used only to describe opera singers. The terms lyric soprano, dramatic soprano, spinto soprano, and coloratura soprano refer to specific kinds of opera singers and are not used to describe singers outside of classical music. Please do not add content to articles unless you understand the content and have reliable sources to back up the content's accuracy. Thank you.Plumadesabiduría (talk) 16:45, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

3 (song) charts edit

Is the song really number one? I think that the chart you posted counts digital sales. Isn't this the actual singles chart? http://www.ultratop.be/en/weekchart.asp?cat=s&lang=nl. Xwomanizerx (talk) 15:27, 9 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please stop repeatedly adding component charts to this article. "Pop Songs" is an airplay only chart and "Digital Songs" is sales only. See WP:CHARTS for more information on which charts should be included. I am also suggesting that you use the "show preview" button when editing, as I have had to clean up several of your edits recently. - eo (talk) 14:08, 15 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unsourced information, removal of sources edit

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Billboard Hot 100. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. - eo (talk) 01:42, 29 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits, such as those you made to Fireflies (Owl City song). If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing. - eo (talk) 01:43, 29 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Per this edit: [1], please do not use blogs as references, as they are not considered to be reliable sources. - eo (talk) 12:47, 12 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Rude Boy edit

Hi,
I've redirected the article about "Rude Boy" which you created. At this point the topic still fails our inclusion guideline for songs, WP:NSONGS.
Anyway, I'm not convinced at all that whether the song is really going to be the next single in the first place, I'm not sure if the source you added is reliable enough (thus far, we've been wrong with every single from this album, I'd like to get it right this time). You might be interested in the discussion at Talk:Rated R (Rihanna album) about that.

Blocked edit

Though not warned for the last set of edits, you have several 'last warnings', amongst others for replacing references and other things. Please take the time now to read the policies and guidelines, and please understand that replacing of reliable sources with youtube movies, as you do here and here is NOT acceptable:

You have been blocked from editing Wikipedia for a period of 1 week as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our policies concerning neutral point of view and biographies of living persons will not be tolerated. --Dirk Beetstra T C 16:02, 17 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Rihanna's Nationality edit

Rihanna is a Barbadian residing in the United States, not a Barbadian-American. That requires a change in legal status, which has not happened yet. When it does, we'll add that update. In the meantime, please do not change people's nationalities without proper references. Thank you. (mango 21:07, 22 October 2010 (UTC))

November 2010 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article We R Who We R, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 21:04, 3 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please be more careful edit

Your edits here had to be corrected: [2] Your link to "What's My Name" was wrong (you left a red wikilink because you spelled "What's" without the apostrophe nor the disambiguation to the specific song) and your source link was left as a bare URL (without proper formatting). Please take a cue from other articles or ask someone if you're not sure how to format sources, and use the "show preview" button before saving so that you do not leave red links. Thanks. - eo (talk) 16:31, 10 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Britney Hold It Against Me.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Britney Hold It Against Me.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 08:31, 7 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sources, Billboard Hot 100 edit

Please do not use blogs as sources [3] [4] [5], as they are not considered reliable per WP:RS. Before updating, please make sure Billboard has updated their charts or confirmed what is number one. It would also be good if you checked out WP:CITE so that you can correct bare-URLs, which are not the preferred format. Thanks. - eo (talk) 11:49, 10 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:Mzi.cuxozbub.170x170-75.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Mzi.cuxozbub.170x170-75.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 03:06, 12 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. File source problem with File:Ooh La La artwork.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Ooh La La artwork.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —IB [ Poke ] 11:12, 9 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
