July 2009 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Anna Hazare has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \bblog(?:cu|fa|harbor|mybrain|post|savy|spot|townhall)?\.com\b (links: http://annajihazare.blogspot.com). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 22:43, 2 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi there! edit

Hey, SantoshMaid. I saw your message on my talk page; I think you've gotten the image on Anna Hazare just fine. A few comments I'd like to make:

  • File:AnnaHazare.JPG is worrying; although the image was created by "RAMESH BABU", you claim that you are the copyright holder of this work, and are giving permission for this image to be released into the public domain worldwide. Are you Ramesh Babu? If not, you'll need to change the licensing details provided on that image file. Copyright is very important on Wikipedia, and images without clear permissions will be eventually removed.
  • As the warning says, Anna Hazare is a biography of a living person. Since living people will sue Wikipedia in case of any incorrect details, Wikipedia is very sensitive to information provided on such articles, and requires third-party verification - through citations.
  • XLinkBot is programmed to prevent links to Blogspot, since there is no way of verifying that any blog there is valid - for instance, there is no evidence that the blog you link to in the article actually belongs to Mr. Hazara. The links to his homepage and other websites should be fine. The link to the Blogspot account will be fine if you provide evidence - or a citation? - that it is Mr. Hazara's official blog.

Also, you should end messages with ~~~~ - this will automatically be replaced with your username, talk page and the date and time. This is very handy!

Welcome to Wikipedia, and I hope you have a good time here! -- Gaurav (talk) 17:00, 3 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
