Welcome!

Hello, SandBoxer, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!

Welcome! edit

I second Poli's welcome, but I'm gonna do so without the Template. :P I see you've taken an interest in editting the Neopets article. That's great! It could be expanded infinitely. I hope some of the sections get their own articles soon. The Neopets article also gets vandalized a lot, so be on the lookout for anons and sockpuppets trying to destroy our work! Take care now. Ryan 08:03, July 27, 2005 (UTC) P.S. I don't like my talk page being so empty. Feel free to leave me a message anytime!

Tykell edit

My bad. I was aware of the fact that he had cleaned his discussion page, but I somehow missed that he had warning templates on there. His constant violations of WP:CIVIL (even after being warned) do justify a block, I'd say. -- SoothingR(pour) 09:04, 26 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

AFD edit

While this AfD was closed a couple of weeks ago, I'm asking for a bit of clarification. Do votes to disambiguate the page count as keep votes? As here I noticed there were only Deletes, Disambiguate, and a Transwiki vote yet it was closed as no concensus. The article has improved a lot since being nominated on Articles for Deletion however. Thanks. SandBoxer 06:37, 25 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your message. The purpose of AFD discussions is to decide whether an article should be kept or deleted. While recommending the transwikification of an article implies deletion, everything else is considered a recommendation to keep unless specifically mentioned otherwise. What actually comes of an article after that is generally discussed on the article's talk page. Stifle (talk) 11:55, 25 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ackermann function edit

On the 8th May, you changed the format of a couple of formulae in the table, removing the f(2,(n+3)) ness of the formulae. Your comment was "Is there a reason for "N+3"ness. The Ackermann function formulae have a pattern involving successively greater powers of 2 to some function of "n+3" - it is clear if you progress to greater "M". The formulae you removed carried this scheme backwards to smaller "m".

I am inclined to put the formulae back. Before I do so, do you wish to comment? -- SGBailey 09:12, 27 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re: AfD edit

Hi SandBoxer. Since it's been five days, I've closed the discussion as keep and transcluded it in the log. Thanks, Sango123 15:29, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

WP:CVU status edit

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
