I would suggest that as a new editor, you use the "Preview" feature when editing templates, tables, infoboxes, etc., to make sure you're not breaking anything. I'd also suggest getting consensus from the regulars before making substantial changes to formats, such as the opinion polls section at Next Irish general election. Splitting the table into years serves no purpose for readers, but breaks a lot of useful functionality, such as being able to sort by date or polling company.
