Dear Cormacalian (or is it Sammy The Pirate King?),

Thanks for your quick reply regarding the images. I'll continue to mark them up as possible copyright violations and then leave it for the administrators to sort out.

However, I think you also need to read up about sock puppetry, as you are using several usernames, which is not regarded good form among the Wikipedians. To avoid being accused of being a sock puppeteer, I suggest you either stop using this new account and stick to Cormacalian, or that you openly display that you have two accounts, by inserting

on you second user page and

This user is the owner of multiple Wikipedia accounts in a manner permitted by policy.

on your main user page.
You can read more about it in the sock puppetry article. Take care Thomas Blomberg 23:12, 20 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

No, I don't think you can shut down the old account, as it's part of the Wikipedia log (everything a user has done, at any time, can be retrieved via the user's account, just click on "User contributions" in the left column on any user page, and you can see what the user has done since he/she registered). However, you can, of course, just stop using the old account. In order for people who want to comment things you've done under the old user name (and it may be positive comments, not just criticism, I can assure you), I suggest you simply redo the front page of Cormacalian, stating that you're no longer using that name but can instead be reached under Sammy The Pirate King, and then just leave the old user page alone.
