Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Mean as custard (talk) 17:16, 21 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

The website has an archived version of the original URL. The original link was: frankfurt-main-finance dot com/en/financial-centre/why-frankfurt/ Please provide a better archive, or mark the link as "dead link". But you cannot entirely just remove a reference without providing an alternative.
Sure you can! Since you're just spamming this link as part of a coordinated group of socks (see Benbabi3, Morislu3, Iliaagri3, Johnahsc3, Roger32, Uvai32, Suyash384) using to old "dead link archive" scam, I've gone ahead and blacklisted the link for you. Kuru (talk) 17:57, 21 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
Alright sorry. I am new to Wikipedia and I was just trying to help make it better. I know another reference source is better than a broken link. So I made some restorations. I did not know it would be better to simply delete the link completely. I did not mean to create spam for "self-interest". Please give me another chance.
Actually, I'd rather you find an archive or simply leave the link tagged as dead. I'd also like to know why you're using seven accounts to slip that link in. Kuru (talk) 18:17, 21 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
I am sorry about that. I thought since it is so quick to create a new account this would be alright for edits. I only joined Wikipedia less than a month ago. If you look at my edits, you will see that I also add a lot of value. I try to suggest a real source alternative whenever possible. The links from Trader Group really did not have archive or any other alternatives.
Looking at what you did: you reverted my grammar changes as well, which were legitimate and took me a long time to proof-read. You also created a bunch of "page not found" links with no real information. In terms of "user experience" I feel that my edits are better than yours. And you completely blacklisting a website for no real "SPAM" is not correct. I just tried to help the users.
Sammie, have you done this before with other links and socks? Kuru (talk) 18:44, 21 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
No, never. I was simply a Wikipedia reader in the past. Edited a few articles for grammar and spelling (only obvious fixes), but nothing serious.
It is crazy how much obvious spam there is on Wikipedia. People just jamming their sales page in the middle of an article without adding any value. THAT would be considered pure spam. But what I did, I am adding a lot of value and trying to create the least disruption possible to the meaning. I would not consider this spam.
K. I just wanted to see if you were going to be honest with me. Kuru (talk) 19:19, 21 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
Ok, I would appreciate it if you could give me another chance.
Sure, will you make me a list of all of the socks you've used? Pick which one you'd like to leave unblocked and you can use it as long as you will avoid any other conflict of interest links or shady spamming in the future. Kuru (talk) 19:46, 21 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
I have only used those above. It is your decision, but I would appreciate whatever.
Sorry, I've run across a bunch of the rest. I'll just use John5171 as the oldest/master for now. Kuru (talk) 19:53, 21 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
That one is not mine
I'm sorry, I don't believe you. I gave you an opportunity to be honest. Kuru (talk) 20:04, 21 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
Really I just joined. Maybe my older brother was using wikipedia as well in my house. But as for me personally, it is just me. I am 100% honest.
