Thanks for your post on my talk page, Samitus. Yes, I agree with you more communication is alway good. Well, in my opinion, the Dalai Lama should stay a spiritual leader, not a political person. Last time when he came to my place, I wanted to listen to his lecture but didn't get a ticket.

I didn't read his autobiography but based on what you said, it looks like his guys signed the agreement without his authorization and sealed with fake seal. But if you think in another way, how did the Chinese know the signature and seal were not authorized? It should be between Dalai and his folks. Anyway, the fact that the communist regained control over Tibet is indisputable and the Dalai Lama accepted that fact (willingly or unwillingly).

Yes, I agree that Tibetans and Uighurs are ethnically different and that is why the Chinese make them "autonomy regions". I don't know what atrocities you refer to but let me tell you the Han Chinese respect their minority friends more than any other countries do. There is no segregations, no chastes. They could have done a better job if they could improve their communication skills, like what we are doing now. Financial aid can't solve everything. Human beings need spiritual things but apprarently atheist Chinese can't "comprehend" that(forgive me for that word, I don't know where did I pick up this habit).

I know India and China were good friends and India(especially Nehru personally) had helped China a lot when China was isolated. And now China is committed to supporting India for permenent seat in UN security council, but is India ready yet? I have read a lot of reports/comments on Indian website and, to my surprise, I find that the minds of many of your Indian friends still stay in the 1960s. Many people express their hatred to China so much, especially those who type in UPPER characters. To most Chinese, India remains a peaceful, ancient and distant country. They are willing to settle down the dispute but of course both sides need to compromise. If India insists on its position, there will never be settlement.

Going back to this Sino-Indian War, it is quite clear that the blames should lay on Nehru and his clique's door steps. There is generally misunderstanding that china was the aggressor in this war. Indian public still believe that China "invaded" India in 1962s. I think after almost 50 years, we should correct this. Let the truth be told. Xingdong (talk) 19:21, 18 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:NewDelhiMap.gif

edit

Thanks for uploading File:NewDelhiMap.gif. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 17:32, 12 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

-- Thanks for your comments. I have changed the description of the file to reflect that its fair-use freedom is currently under dispute--Samitus mallicus 17:50, 12 May 2015 (UTC)

Invitation from Wikipedia Asian Month 2016

edit

Thanks for partipating Wikipedia Asian Month last year, and I hope you enjoy it. Last year, more than 7,000 articles contribute to Wikipedia in 43 languages in Wikipedia Asian Month, making us one of the largest event on Wikipedia. We will organize this event again in upcoming November, and would like to invite you join us again.

This year, we are lowering down the standards that you only need to create 4 (Four) articles to receive a postcard (new design), and articles only need to be more than 3,000 bytes and 300 words. We are also improving our postcard sending process, e.g. making the postcards right now, and collecting the address after the event ends without waiting other languges.

Wikipedians who create the most articles on each Wikipedia will be honored as "Wikipedia Asian Ambassadors". We will send you both digital copy, and a paper copy of the Ambassador certificate.

Thank you for considering! --AddisWang (talk)
