User Talk Pages?

I am very new to Wikipedia and want to use Wikipedia to the best of my ability, properly, and have a better understanding of what all of the technicalities are all about. Wikipedia does supply one with a lot of information but I've got to admit that it still sounds like a computer programmer talking. I would really love to have some advice or help on using Wikipedia, improving my User Page, etc. I don't want to mess this up. I would be very grateful!

Hi there. I see that you're trying to write a new article on Samantha Spiegel. I have a few concerns about this. First you should be aware that this article was once deleted (following the debate Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Samantha Spiegel) and it's likely to be deleted again unless you take that into account. There are two important issues: first, Samantha Spiegel doesn't seem to meet the basic requirements for including a biographical article on Wikipedia. Secondly, if this article is used to publicize serious accusations against another individual, then it will be deleted on the spot. The rules for biographies of living people are quite strict and unreferenced content about Spiegel or her acquaintances will be removed without further questions. If you believe that there's still room for an article on Spiegel within these bounds, I will be happy to assist you in writing it and making sure it fits in the Wikipedia mold.
