Link spam edit

Hi -- if you want to add links to a .com site to an article, you need to first explain why on the talk page and then get agreement from other editors. Otherwise your actions will be viewed as spamming. At Wikipedia, tolerance is pretty low for editors whose only actions are to add .com links to articles. (Responding to message on my talk page) -- you get to the talk page of an article by clicking the "discussion" tab at the top of the page. New messages on a talk page should go at the bottom, and when you have finished the message, you should "sign" it by typing ~~~~ at the end. However, probably the first thing you should do is read WP:EL to understand the policy on what links to external web sites are accepted. Regards, Looie496 (talk) 00:22, 29 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
