Thanks for creating Manc/Mancs/Mancunian

I'm gonna try to get the existing redirect page Mancunian deleted, so that your created page can be renamed to just "mancunian" - which will be better for searching.

The page name is important, as that's what people will find. It's unlikely someone will actually type "Manc/Mancs/Mancunian" into the search box.

Perhaps it might be worth making a further redirect from 'Manc' later, but it would maybe be better to have a disambiguation page, leading to your article and the main one on Manchester.

P.S. I got the page moved to just 'Mancunian'. It needs some work on it - citations to reliable references, mainly. Cheers --  Chzz  ►  00:12, 29 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Lancashire, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. --Jza84 |  Talk  15:30, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Manc

edit

I've completed some heavy cleanup of the article. Take a look to see what goes into a well defined article stub. And of course, thank you for your constructive additions to Wikipedia. Grika 22:24, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello Salfordsredarmy,

Regarding Manc, and the message you left at Talk:Manchester (here), please take a look at our page WP:BURDEN. It is for you, the contributor, to provide evidence that this topic is notable, not others. You could have a look at how other articles deal with regional accents to get ideas, or even take a look at these potential references. Otherwise, the article may be deleted yet again. --Jza84 |  Talk  23:19, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
