Salem Al Adidi

Biography: Salem Al Adidi (born July 1st, 1986 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates) is an Emirati an offshore powerboat world champion. As a young teenager, he began his career in watersports in traditional dhow sailing in 2000 under the guidance of his father. In 2008, he decided to go alone to divert further in the world of wooden powerboats for a season in 2011. Salem experience lays in XCAT and Class-one powerboat racing. However, he started his professional racing career in traditional Dhow racing and then wooden powerboats.

Pilot Career: The Emirati young racer always had a dream to join the famous powerboat racing team in the United Arab Emirates, Victory Team. With more than 33 years in the international powerboat racing, Victory Team was the best place for Al Adidi to start his professional career. Finally. Al Adidi got a call-up into the Victory Team ranks in 2013, and he went to mark his debut in the highly-competitive UIM-WPPA XCAT World Series with a podium spot while finishing in third. Al Adidi also competed in Class 1 racing making his debut in that race category in China. He rose through the ranks till his undisputed rise as a world champion at the end of the 2017 season.

Achievements: Salem started racing in 2000, participated in more than 59 races, and achieved four world titles.
