Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "MKA USA". The reason given for MKA USA's block is: " Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully. Why can't I edit Wikipedia? Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy. Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username? Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again. What can I do now? If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead. If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following: Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must: Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked. If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. ".

Accept reason: Okay. The autoblock should be expired by now. I would strongly caution you not to make any more conflict of interest edits, with this account or others. Kuru (talk) 23:17, 6 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, Kuru. Much appreciated. I will request an article to be written about the organization. Meanwhile, I'll collect the sources for submission when I make the request.
Looking at the edits from the MKA USA account, that appears to be you. Is there a reason you were using a separate account? Kuru (talk) 01:15, 6 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I wanted to keep that separate from my personal account. I didn't know I'd be violating Wiki guidelines in doing so. My sincere apologies.

your edit to Islam article edit

Hello Salaamthebody, you can call me 74. I made some attempt to condense your sources and facts on Ahmad into a smaller form, which methinks is suitable for insertion into the Islam article, without giving WP:UNDUE weight to the group. You can see my suggestion over here -- User_talk:Sp33dyphil#Islam. If you and Phil agree it is a good change, go ahead and insert the revised version into the Islam article again. Good work on the sources, appreciate it greatly. I tried to give you a feel for how to calculate appropriate weight, using political parties as an example; but it's a very difficult art. Anyways, hope this helps, and thank you for improving wikipedia. 74.192.84.101 (talk) 18:56, 4 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Well, you like the edit, and I like the edit, and nobody else has objected to it on the Islam talkpage. Would you mind putting it into the main article? That will begin the WP:BRD cycle. Please send me a message on my talkpage if folks have questions about our joint rewrite of the sentences, since I don't come to the Islam talkpage very often. Thanks. 74.192.84.101 (talk) 09:43, 21 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

conflict of interest edit

Well, as it looks like you found out the hard way, there are a bunch of special rules. You actually *can* have more than one account, if you use them carefully, and disclose that they are the same person on the userpages of both accounts. But in general, the best policy is to pick a unique non-corporate name for your account, and then edit as an individual, staying away from places you may suffer from conflict-of-interest.

Note, however, that making a request on the *talkpage* of an article where you may have a conflict-of-interest issue is perfectly okay, and usually much appreciated. Make sure to say in your request on the article-talkpage that you *have* WP:COI, so that the editors that read your request know to be extra careful. In general, though, if you follow the talkpage-only approach, and are careful to keep your tone neutral, and to provide reliable sources for your statements, you can be an asset to articles where you should not directly be making edits to the mainspace version of the article, yourself.

Please see the note which I left for an employee of a computer-hardware firm, over on her talkpage, if you want more details.

User_talk:NancyMorrisonLogitech#Logitech ... the helpful notes from Begoon are also useful

You can also read the longer note which I wrote for a backer of a rock-band.

Hope this helps. Feel free to message me on my talkpage if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks. 74.192.84.101 (talk) 19:06, 4 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Ahmadiyya Muslim Caucus edit

The article Ahmadiyya Muslim Caucus has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unremarkable political group; violates WP:SOAP.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
