About references

edit

Hi. The references of an article should only contain material actually used in the article, not for sake of standardization. If they are not cited, they can be placed in a section like "further reading". -- Lerdsuwa 15:56, 11 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Postal history template

edit

I have moved the discussion about this template to the template talk page. Your explanation and problems do not tell us what the problem really is, or at least I don't understand what you are saying is happening and I was unable to recreate a problem on the pages you already modified. I think you should have linked to some pages where the problem is visible for us to look at and see if we agree with you and someone might be able to fix it.

We do welcome new editors, especially those who will make contributions to the philatelic articles, but with respect to you, as a relatively new editor, I would not be so quick to make changes to templates unless you know what you are doing, can fix it rather than just deleting it from existing pages and also deleting country link entries from the template. We are aware that the template might get quite large but that hurdle can be crossed when it arrives. Please reply on the template talk page so we can continue this there. Not for me

edit

I can see this site is bureaucratic and so not for me. By the way, to the person (can't remember who it was) who referred to me as "he" somewhere along the way, Sam is short for Samantha! No matter. Bye now. --Saipan Sam 18:54, 19 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
