Guys, any suggestions, corrections, advice or warnings , feel free to talk to me for the greater good of Wikipedia. --- Sahil (talk) 12:13, 26 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi Sahil

You have given a move request for my article. I am actually new to the whole thing.

You are correct, it is about the company only. I want to get this article published in the name of CoalShastra. This has been written about them and will be further modified by me. Please help. Also please explain your move request. (Shikhar1432 (talk) 08:23, 12 July 2014 (UTC))Reply

Hi. You should not remove talk page content as you did here. Also, you should not remove {{MFD}} tags like you did here. If you believe a page meets a speedy deletion critera, you can add the speedy deletion nomination, but you should not remove the existing regular nomination. I have restored both the talk page content, and MFD notice. Note that WP:U5 specifically excludes "résumé-style pages", but I will let an administrator review the speedy nomination. -- Whpq (talk) 13:12, 15 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thank you Whpq for your advice . I will keep it in mind 13:09, 16 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Vijay Devabhaktuni

edit

I have closed Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Vijay Devabhaktuni. You submitted this to WP:MFD. The appropriate forum for articles would be [WP:AFD]]. You also stated in that the concern was WP:A3. This is problematic for a couple of reasons. First, this is a WP:SPEEDY deletion criteria, and does not apply if an article is nominated for deletion through a discussion. Second, A3 is for no content. The article clearly has content.

You have run into some difficulties with your editting on Wikipedia. You may wish to look into the Adopt-a-user program. Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 13:37, 16 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks again for providing the understanding Whpq :) Sahil 13:50, 16 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Removal of speedy deletion

edit

Any editor who is not the article creator may remove a speedy deletion tag as was done here. Once contested, you should not add the speedy deletion tag again, and instead should nnominate it through W:AFD instead. I have undone your edit adding back the tag. Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 09:53, 17 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Future Group, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Media and FMCG. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 05:52, 25 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Secunderabad Mumbai Duronto Express

edit

Hi Sahil, I was wondering if you would do me a huge favour. Could you visit Secunderabad Mumbai Duronto Express. I have just revamped the article & would appreciate your comments on its current vs its former view.

Superfast1111 (talk) 17:27, 31 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi Superfast1111, anything for Wikipedia! I have formatted the paragraphs into something shorter and neater, removed repetitions, and merged "Coaches" section into Service, since its, well, a service :D. You are welcome to check and suggets. -- SaHiL (talk) 08:37, 1 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Hi Sahil, Thanks for your help. It was interesting to see how you have worked on the article. There were a few short comings according to me & would like you to re-consider them.

A. You have misspelt Duronto as Duranto at almost all the places.

B. In the service section - 1st para 2nd sentence where you have mentioned that it covers the distance of 773 kms in 12 hours one way. This is incorrect as this train is one of the few trains which has a mirror run .i.e. both up & down direction have the same distance & take the same time - so it should be both directions.

C. In the service section - 2nd para 1st sentence - Not all Duronto's offer an all AC Class service so that needs to be corrected. Actually i would prefer if the sentence could be deleted.

D. If you could think of another title instead of availability.

E. Routeing & Technical halts - Both runs have different number of halts at different places. This is one section i would like to retain intact as it was.

F. Traction - It is the 12219 Mumbai Secunderabad Duronto Express which gets banker engines not the 12220 Secunderabad Mumbai Duronto Express.

Rest it was a good job & once again i would like to thank you for your assistance.

Superfast1111 (talk) 09:57, 1 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi Superfast1111 , a few comments:
  • Technical names of the trains (Train Number + Name) everywhere is unconventional as this is not how the common masses refers to it. I suggest type the whole name only at the start or where its absolutely necessary and remove train numbers from the rest.
  • Its already been tagged as original research and i couldn't find any more reliable sources. You might wanna add sources supporting the various details :) - SaHiL (talk) 12:23, 1 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:30, 21 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Farida Khambata

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Farida Khambata requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.cartica.com/about-us/farida-khambata/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. 220 of Borg 07:27, 11 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Deletion discussion about Farida Khambata

edit

Hello, SahilSahadevan

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Eostrix and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Farida Khambata, should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Farida Khambata.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Eostrix}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!
