Why can't I edit some particular pages?
Some pages that have been vandalized repeatedly are semi-protected, meaning that editing by new or unregistered users is prohibited through technical measures. If you have an account that is four days old and has made at least 10 edits, then you can bypass semi-protection and edit any semi-protected page. Some pages, such as highly visible templates, are fully-protected, meaning that only administrators can edit them. If this is not the case, you may have been blocked or your IP address caught up in a range block.
Where can I experiment with editing Wikipedia?
How do I create an article?
See how to create your first article, then use the Article Wizard to create one, and add references to the article as explained below.
How do I create citations?
  1. Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
  2. Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
  3. In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
  4. Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
  5. Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like <ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>, copy the whole thing).
  6. In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
  7. If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References==
{{Reflist}}
What is a WikiProject, and how do I join one?
A WikiProject is a group of editors that are interested in improving the coverage of certain topics on Wikipedia. (See this page for a complete list of WikiProjects.) If you would like to help, add your username to the list that is on the bottom of the WikiProject page.

Nara Narayan edit

@Safe haven123 please stop reverting the image of Nara Narayan. That image seems to be based upon traditional manuscript painting which doesn't require realism and facial structure of particular race, as all the paintings made there are based upon a style. Kherai edit

@Safe haven123, you have again removed [1] it again without any explanation. As per the original source, Brahma 1988, p102 says: ...This Kherai puja is meant for 'Mainao' or Lakshmi', the goddess of wealth, and welfare. So it is called as 'Lakshmi Kherai"... Dununtarai and Meghnarayana edit

Shin uses "perhaps" to express "uncertainity" or "possibility". Dimasa history itself is arbitrarily granted. Heramba at Ganesguri and Heramda at Dakhinkol need more study.   Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Assamese people, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. DreamRimmer (talk) 17:20, 15 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Notice of discretionary sanctions on caste articles edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in South Asian social groups. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose discretionary sanctions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Dispute? edit

@Safe haven123, you seems to involved in reverting the edits unconstructively, this constitues in edit warring. You haven't been in a dispute resolving mindset, for that I have told you numerous time to "discuss the issue on talk page". For further information, see this WP:COI, WP:WAR, and WP:3RR.

You hadn't provided any citation for this text which now I have removed [4], for the image of Konbaung empire see this WP:RELEVANCE. Here [5], irrelevant to the context you have reinstated it nonsensically (editing in non chronological way). ComparingQuantities (talk) 17:24, 19 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

How is that irrelevant , the Koaripar dooars falls in Sonitpur district. It acted as a trade route. You are forming your own guidelines Safe haven123 (talk) 17:28, 19 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Isn't there a word called 'chronology' (the arrangement of events or dates in the order of their occurrence), haven't question the factually but the position of the where it is kept (in the lead) for promotion! ComparingQuantities (talk) 17:33, 19 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Koaripar Duar were there before Ahom chutia war and Koch Ahom war it is where it should be, also see Jae Eun Shin 2018 for extend of Pala dynasty and did it really existed Safe haven123 (talk) 17:36, 19 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
When did I ask this!? The discussion is about keeping (the info about Duars)in a different section, not piled up in a single section, is that really much of a problem for you that it only has to be in lead?!. ComparingQuantities (talk) 17:39, 19 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
the upper half of sonitpur is the Duars, it existed much before the Ahoms arrived or other conflict , putting it above Safe haven123 (talk) 17:42, 19 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
I had loosen my interest on this topic, let be anywhere but in a different section! ComparingQuantities (talk) 17:47, 19 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Why? You seems to be pretty interested in this page alone Safe haven123 (talk) 17:51, 19 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Well you are making me do that, [6], like there is no reason behind why section exists. From duars of some 17th, 18th century with no context, to directly jumping on 11th century Kamarupa. ComparingQuantities (talk) 17:54, 19 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Image edit

@Safe haven123, please do not add images randomly if it's irrelevant, especially where it doesn't add any help or information. Showing a rough map of Konbaung, and captioning it doesn't add any value. You have repeatedly done this multiple times, when removed, at last resulting in edit warring, which it seems irresistible. See; WP:RELEVANCE, WP:IMAGE, MOS. ComparingQuantities (talk) 13:09, 23 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

You seems to deny that the battle with Burmese took place in Jorhat, do you have problem with hostory of the place Safe haven123 (talk) 13:11, 23 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
You are missing the point here!!! You are nonsensically accusing me of, whereas you are ignoring the main problem. Even this reply which you are giving me is irrelevant of what I asked, please adhere to the wiki policies. I had taken down the image, as it simply doesn't add any value to the page, check WP:RELEVANCE. If talking in your way; it is logical to put this map [8] in Guwahati wikipage and captioning it, Wikipedia isn't supposed to be locate that place in the political map. ComparingQuantities (talk) 13:19, 23 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Safe haven123 Would you stop putting political map of Konbaung empire in the pages of cities and towns of Assam, and captioning it saying "___ under Konbaung dynasty", so what value does it meaningfully add, or are you asking the readers or others to see it as a question and answer it. ComparingQuantities (talk) 15:57, 25 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
the extend of Konbaung empire , why doesnot it add any value Safe haven123 (talk) 15:59, 25 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
In those pages it adds no value, those rough sketches have no info to provide about those places nor highlight ComparingQuantities (talk) 16:02, 25 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
You add a better map if you could find one Safe haven123 (talk) 16:04, 25 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Not my work, leave it untill you find a better one at least having a bit of info ComparingQuantities (talk) 16:05, 25 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Why leave it there till i get a better one and will replace it Safe haven123 (talk) 16:07, 25 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
That map add no value to those pages in context. For example, how much value or information will this political map of India Political [9] will add to the page of Guwahati and I don't have any will to continue as this discussion leading to nowhere, fine stuck with your POV. ComparingQuantities (talk) 16:17, 25 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Safe haven123 Instead of completely getting a conclusion of the discussion, you seem to ignore the main problems. While you keep giving nonsensical arguments like this [10], while I am asking about the relevance of the Map which adds no particular information about the page in context. Does it highlight Sadiya anywhere, display Sadiya or even speaks of the subject in context!!?? I have given you enough reasons, with logical examples of what that map stands for in the previous reply, which you seemingly ignored. You didn't revert it back for few days, but suddenly reinstated it with little to no good reason, even after telling you so many times, no conclusion has drawn out, like all the previous discussion was like a waste of time. ComparingQuantities (talk) 16:54, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
How is it irrelavant , it shows sadiya area under burma also the citation says the same , what is nonsensical about it Safe haven123 (talk) 16:57, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Everything, a political maps add no improvement to the page especially to the pages of cities and town, rather you satisfy your underlying grudge of doing this. Thank you! ComparingQuantities (talk) 17:03, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
This map is there in the Konbaung dynasty, it still doesnot any tow or cities should it be removed Safe haven123 (talk) 17:04, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Repeating previous reply.
That map add no value to those pages in context. For example, how much value or information will this political map of India Political [11] to the page of any city or small town ComparingQuantities (talk) 17:12, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
That is map of India, it will add no value . This is the map of conquered territory by Konbaung dynasty showing territories of Assam it add values Safe haven123 (talk) 17:14, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Is that page talking about Assam/Ahom kingdom or Sadiya (a town in Assam)?! Those that map put any emphasize on to Sadiya, Jorhat or any other places of Assam, the example of using Indian political map is the most logical expression of what you are doing. While, aren;t you giving any proper justification to have that political map, but instead giving some non- asked question like this [12], while the main point revolves around the presence of map in those certain pages. ComparingQuantities (talk) 17:20, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Safe haven123 With this [13], rejecting any discussion you have broke out a one sided- war. ComparingQuantities (talk) 17:34, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
This has discussed over and over, any reasonable person wouldnt go into further arguments Safe haven123 (talk) 17:35, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
You hadn't been present to get any conclusion, rather you sticking with you pov. So it basically says that you aren't a logical person, with whom you can get a conclusion but rather blindly sticks with thy own POV ComparingQuantities (talk) 17:46, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Rajbanshi people edit

You have removed the text added from in Rajbanshi people that was taken from Koch dynasty. Please note that the Rajbanshi people were called Koch, as given in the Rajbanshi people article itself. Please look at [14], which states that the Rajbanshi people were called Koch. Chaipau (talk) 14:50, 24 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

please realise what you have added didnot happened under koch dynasty under the order of a ruler but by Panchanan Barma, a common man so why does that action belong here, it belongs to Koch Dynasty Safe haven123 (talk) 14:53, 24 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
All events under the Koch dynasty do not go into the Koch dynasty article. Only those events related to the dynastic history go there. The article is about the Koch dynasty, not about the Koch people. The events related to the Koch subjects of the Koch kingdom, who eventually called themselves Rajbanshi, in the Rajbanshi people article, not in the Koch dynasty article. Please revert your changes. Chaipau (talk) 14:30, 28 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Rajbanshi movement has nothing to do with Koch dynasty, it is independent of it done by a man Panchanan Barma, why should that section go into Rajbanshi article. All that is added is related to the dynastic history, the spread of Vaishnavism volunteered by the royalty, the occupation of Koch states by Bhutan are related to Koch dynasty not Rajbanshi article. How can all of this go into Rajbanshi article which talks about actions in late 19th century Safe haven123 (talk) 17:32, 28 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
