Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! 220 of Borg 11:54, 11 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Selvin Christopher

edit

You are apparently new to Wikipedia (WP) but it is expected that you provide an edit summary, especially when you revert edits like here as you did at Selvin Christopher. What did you think was wrong with my edit?

I also see that you moved G. Satheesh Reddy to Dr G Satheesh Reddy. This is likely not correct as per WP:HONORIFIC or WP:MOSTITLE "He is a doctorate" (you mean he has a doctorate I think), is not a reason to move a page. This is likely not correct per normal WP practices per WP:HONORIFIC or WP:MOSTITLE. Saying "He is a doctorate" (you mean he has a doctorate I think), is not a reason to move a page to a title including "Dr" in it. 220 of Borg 12:20, 11 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please note, that I have now reverted (here) back to my edit, which was a definite improvement, and I have explained why in my edit summary. I Assume good faith (WP:AGF), but it is very odd that a new editor just reverts like that. And, what is "INAE" Indian National Academy of Engineering? Is that sourced? Is it more important than a Padma Bhushan? - 220 of Borg 12:36, 11 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for sock puppetry. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not, and that any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 17:45, 24 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for restoring copyright violations, something you were blocked for in the past (including using multiple socks for the same purpose), as you did at G. Satheesh Reddy. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  —SpacemanSpiff 19:01, 8 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
