There IS no actual reliable source, that's what I'm trying to say! The debate is split down the middle because the only mentions we have of Bridget's sex is in the English version of the game, but the Japanese version, the place where he was made, doesn't refer to him as a female at all! I'm not even trying to edit Bridget's page, I'm pointing to an already existing revision that has a neutral enough stance on this matter to where both sides of the argument can be satisfied until we get a clear, definite answer from the company that made him. Also, you're bullying me again! "as far as I can tell literally every one of your edits has been about this topic" Why the fuck does that matter? Anyone can make an account at any time for any reason! I made an account because I care about this subject matter and I don't want people to shamelessly vandalize his page. I don't have the sources or answers to provide the changes because the company that made him doesn't want to speak on the matter! And after a month, someone came around with a level head and offered a neutral stance on the subject only to be falsely accused of attacking an admin because they thought my account was a secondary one for theirs. It doesn't help that you're just fanning the flames yourself, describing Bridget as a girl in the picture on his talk page (with the wrong caption from the game he's from, the design is from Strive, no ACR). I thought we were supposed to be neutral on Wikipedia. I'm SHOWING you there's a neutral version of this argument that someone has already made, and you just seem to be want to ignore it. What sources!? I'm not changing anything about Bridget's page! I was calling out Drones behavior since those green boxes on the talk pages went up after I left a message on the latest talk page. I kept saying to just revert the changes that User:Yndtbt made, since that has been the most neutral-stance revision that's been made in the last month. It's like I'm being ignored on everything I've said. For real, please stop and just read what I'm saying. There's no hidden messages, no inferring to something else, I'm being as straightforward as I can be. SPiR1000 (talk) 18:05, 7 September 2022 (UTC)

As I said to the IP editor in this section on the article talk page, if there is a disconnect between Bridget's characterisation between the Japanese and English language versions of the game, then in order to consider making changes that have both been proposed we need reliable sources that state as such. Ideally, due to language barrier issues, such sourcing should be in English. However if the best sources for this are in Japanese, then that is OK, so long as the sources otherwise meet out standard for reliable sources, and a good unambiguous translation can be provided. In order to facilitate this, you may wish to check WP:RSP, the WP:RSN archives, and the WP:VG/S list, to see check if those sources have already been discussed for reliability.

Also, in relation to your comment on Kotaku, per Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Sources, the post 2010 reporting in Kotaku is considered reliable. If you wish to challenge that consensus, then you may wish to review past discussions on that publication in the WT:VGRS archives, before opening a new discussion at that same talk page, with other reliable sources discussing the unreliability of Kotaku. Copied comment from Talk:Bridget (Guilty Gear)#Just an idea to resolve conflict for now. I've done some investigation into this, and while I can't link to this because of copyright reasons, and that it's borderline WP:OR, it seems as though this is not an English localisation only change. From no-commentary playthroughs of Bridget's story mode in Japanese, in the scene that has caused this controversy, Bridget says "女の子ですから！" (rōmaji: On'nanokodesukara!), which directly translates to "Because I'm a girl!". As such, even if there were reliable sources that asserted that this was an English localisation specific change, there would need to be a great number of them to convince me that this is the case. Thank you for the stance on Bridget as to quote western opinion pieces as fact when the Japanese Wikipedia article had to removed them as they weren't credible sources, it just shows there is a language barrier people are deliberately trying to ignore Discord96 (talk) 12:05, 13 September 2022 (UTC)
