I'm glad you're interested in getting connected!! I just made a number of contributions if you'd like to check them out. I created and am still evolving UC Berkeley financial aid and University of California finances, and cleaned up #University finances of the UCB page.
Regarding your interest in meeting other contributors with connections to UCB: getting in touch with the current Wikipedia Campus Ambassador at UCB might be a good first step.
