AfD nomination of Chicago Cubs futility theories edit

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Chicago Cubs futility theories. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chicago Cubs futility theories. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:04, 7 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Project: Canadian Sport edit

I noticed you recently updated an article dealing with Sport in Canada. You might be interested to know that there is a project aimed at improving articles on this subject. Feel free to stop by and help out, we'd love to have you! HalifaxRage (talk) 14:09, 19 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Mets-Phillies rivalry edit

Not sure why you removed the section link here, but it provides necessary context that linking to the article alone doesn't, so I've restored it. Thanks. KV5 (TalkPhils) 16:16, 12 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please don't add unreferenced information to Mets-Phillies rivalry, especially that which could be construed as original research. Thanks. KV5 (TalkPhils) 21:44, 25 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
I've asked you before not to remove relevant section links, as you did from {{Philadelphia Phillies general managers}}. Please don't. — KV5Talk • 00:39, 1 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Scrolling reference boxes, as you added to Mets-Phillies rivalry, are expressly prohibited by the Manual of Style. You also removed valid courtesy links to newspapers articles hosted on Google News. I'm lost as to the point of these particular edits and how they are helping the encyclopedia. — KV5Talk • 01:37, 20 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Stop adding trivial information that's not related to the rivalry to the above article, and follow the Manual of Style. I'm tired of having to follow your edits and correct them every time. — KV5Talk • 14:44, 4 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:BlackJackTheRiderlessHorse.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:BlackJackTheRiderlessHorse.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Josette (talk) 20:38, 28 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:BlackJackTheRiderlessHorse.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:BlackJackTheRiderlessHorse.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Josette (talk) 20:38, 28 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

2008 World Series edit

The subsequent championship appearances for Philadelphia sports teams have no relevance to the article 2008 World Series. Please stop inserting that information. Thanks. — KV5Talk • 16:09, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Also, there is no need to cross-reference championships between sports, as you did at 2010 Philadelphia Phillies season. If they do happen to win the championships in the same year, the only link between the articles should be an explanatory see also link. Information that is tangentially related, if at all, does not belong in article prose. — KV5Talk • 22:05, 8 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
Stop inserting trivial original research at 2008 World Series. Thanks. — KV5Talk • 11:56, 30 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

May 2010 edit

Please do not delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Template talk:St. Louis Cardinals. Such edits are disruptive and appear to be vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Deor (talk) 02:36, 29 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of previously published material to our articles . Please cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you. Please stop trying to call Busch Stadium II "The Field where the Curse of the Bambino Died"... the only result for such a term is on Wikipedia, in sections you continue to add despite being asked not to. There is NO provenance for this term in St. Louis, and doesn't appear to be any in Boston, either. umrguy42 04:00, 29 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Playoff Officials edit

I get the Official assignments from http://broadcast.nhl.com/nhlgmntsv3.nsf. These are updated before Flyers site and therefore why I added it before you if you would have only looked at the View History. Next time I'll just cite it to avoid confusion. One95 (talk) 17:10, 2 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

You are now a Reviewer edit

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:37, 19 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Trivia and quotes sections edit

Please stop adding standalone trivia and quotes sections to basketball articles. Much of the information in these sections is either only tangentially relevant and doesn't need to be in the article, or could be incorporated into the rest of the article. For example, this is a far better way to include the information formerly in the trivia section rather than disconnected, bulleted factoids. As for the quotation sections, just don't put them in articles. This is an encyclopedia, not a repository of quotes (we have Wikiquote for that). Thanks, Dabomb87 (talk) 15:58, 1 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Dead links edit

Though this is not intuitive, it is actually best not to delete dead links. If you leave them, in time a bot checks them and tries to replace them w/a cached version. Best.--Epeefleche (talk) 14:49, 11 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Cross-sports references edit

Would you please stop adding trivial cross-sports references between Flyers and Phillies articles? Lists of miscellaneous information are prohibited and, while referenced, the information you added to 2010 Philadelphia Phillies season and List of Philadelphia Phillies no-hitters is completely trivial and has little to no encyclopedic relevance to the articles into which you inserted it. — KV5Talk • 19:39, 30 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

94 strike//Yankees edit

Please stop inserting speculative, subjective, and argumentative accounts of the 1994 strike into the Yankees WP article. We've been down this road before. There is a section on the talk page on this, which you do not partake in. I recall your account being suspended for behavior like this. The factual accounts of news media pointing out would-be game dates of 1994 post season games and what is in the article now does enough to suffice and factually depict this time period in Yankees/NY sports history. Please stop trying to insert this over the top text that others already agree does not belong. Your behavior is contrary to the collaborative spirit of wikipedia. Thanks.
