International Justice Mission edit

@SE at Int'l Justice Mission:, I'm going to ask you to no longer ping me about improvements to this article on its talk page. I will happily respond to questions about the RfC and the closing statement, either on that talk page or yours or even my own. That said, I closed the RfC as a non-involved editor and responded to one followup that I felt was fairly neutral a question about implementing the RfC consensus. I do not wish to become further involved in determining how the International Justice Mission should be described. I'm sure you understand. Thank you. @Eggishorn: I completely understand. Thanks for participating in the RfC process. Best, SE at Int'l Justice Mission (talk) 20:04, 13 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

@SE at Int'l Justice Mission: Hi, I had a look at the history section of your sandbox to see where I could start working. I do think it would be beneficial if the early years in this section were organized by country -- i.e., a section on the work in Thailand and then a section on the work in Cambodia, and then perhaps the Phillipines. If the work expanded after that, then it could be organized chronologically under a heading like "Expansion, 200X - 20XX." I believe that would help a reader understand the progress of IJM's work better. If you agree, perhaps you could set up your sandbox like that, and then I could move it over for you. I work full time so weekends are best for me, but I am going out of town this weekend, so please bear with me on the schedule. Jaking01 (talk) 05:39, 28 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi Jaking01, thanks for the note. The existing History section is based on consensus reached through discussion on Talk:International Justice Mission last fall. Therefore, I'm not sure I should go and draft a new or significantly revised History. However, I have in the past updated my draft with this, which brings detail from the Criticism section into the Activities section. Perhaps you could take a look at that? It's worth noting that SONORAMA disagreed with this draft, saying: "I don't think it is useful to simply cut the criticism from its own section, make a few tweaks and bury it under text in another section. If we are going to incorporate it throughout the article, it must be incorporated appropriately throughout each section, including the intro paragraph". Of course, I would value your thoughts on it as well. Best, SE at Int'l Justice Mission (talk) 20:31, 29 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
