Aircraft

edit

I have moved Historically Significant Aircraft to User:SENIRAM/sandbox. The only entry in it so far is covered in P-39 Airacobra. Do I gather that this is meant to be a list of individual aircraft (such as Spirit of St. Louis or Enola Gay) rather than aircraft types? If you create it, it is likely to be challenged as unmaintainable because of differing opinions on what is historically significant. Please note we already have a list of aircraft by tail number which is based on the simple criteion "does it have an article". I suggest you seek support at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aircraft before creating an article. If approved the title should be list of historically significant aircraft. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:52, 21 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of The Bomber Barons

edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on The Bomber Barons requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Jhbuk (talk) 17:43, 15 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Take Off magazine

edit

The article Take Off magazine has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of how this might meet notability guidelines. Lacks citations to significant coverage in reliable sources. Topic might be notable but not as this article is written today.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RadioFan (talk) 15:49, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of Take Off magazine

I have nominated Take Off magazine, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Take Off magazine. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Manual of style edits to Take Off (disambiguation)

edit

Please stop changing back the formatting of the page. I've modified it so that it meets the WP:MOSDAB standards. Please don't pipe links, add multiple links on the same entries, or add articles that have no apparent connection to the topic. If you want to reorder those entries, or add to them, that's fine, but please quit undoing my manual of style edits without explanation. I've tried to address this a few times now, but you simply change back to the old ones. Please stop doing that. Shadowjams (talk) 21:27, 5 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi there! How's it going? Just an FYI, I removed a line from your recently-created article (referenced above) because it read potentially defamatory to me (even if it was, in tone, clearly intended to be somewhat humorous) and the sourcing for the line is not so reliable/verifiable as to warrant inclusion. I don't think removing the line really hurts the article, either way, but just wanted to give you, as the article's creator, a heads up, in case you have additional thoughts on the matter. Hope this works. ɠǀɳ̩ςεΝɡbomb 17:38, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:Crystal Maze CYOAB.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Crystal Maze CYOAB.JPG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. JodyB talk 12:33, 3 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:BHTAT.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading File:BHTAT.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 17:13, 24 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your effort on creating this article in EN.WP. I couldn't help but notice that you seem to have used a mechanical translation and translated the entire German article (including section headings, references, and categories) without replacing them. Please do not use mechanical translation services to develop articles as it means someone who is conversant in both english and german has to read through both articles and correct mistakes that were made by the translation service. Hi. When you recently edited Captain Hans Geering, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Resistance (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
