Proposed deletion of FoodBeeper

edit

The article FoodBeeper has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Promotional article by WP:SPA

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. MrsSnoozyTurtle 23:18, 26 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

My article is not promotional. All the sources I've so far cited are independent and verifiable. Also, I believe my POV is not in any way biased, nor am I violating the COI policy. Precisely, the topic is part of my niche interest; Algerian economy and digital growth, a category rarely covered and dealt with here on Wikipedia. So it's unfair that an article that most certainly adds to a wiki project gets deleted. Rymknows23

Hello, I’ve submitted FoodBeeper for review, can you remove the Advertisement tag! I thought I made it clear that I have no business promoting the brand, it just happens that it is a major proof of Algeria’s digital and technological growth, which is my main interest. I agree that the references may not back me up since they’re mostly in French and Arabic (Algeria’s main languages), but they’re reliable, according to Wikipedia policies. Does that make my topic unworthy of being on Wikipedia? Regards, Rymknows23 (talk) 09:05, 6 March 2022 (UTC) Rymknows23Reply

COI check for FoodBeeper

edit

Hello. Do you have any assocation with this company? Most of your edits in the past two months seem to relate to it. Regards, MrsSnoozyTurtle 10:37, 16 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I've declared multiple times that I'm neither a SPA nor a paid editor. I've read those policies quite deeply and I believe it is not a problem to declare one's COI. But I've no close relationship with the topic of my article. I wrote this article mainly because it is notable when it comes to Algeria's digital lifestyle. All the edits and contributions I've so far made were mere steps in my writing process, since I'm new to Wikipedia. Obviously, I'm quite eager for my article to be appropriate for Wiki. Accordingly, you'll find me editing hundreds of times until it gets approved and published. Also, I've lately tried to diversify my contributions and I'm willing to frequent Wikipedia. last but not least, I'm simultaneously active on the French Wiki where I contribute to my main interest; Algeria's digital and technological activities. Thank you. Regards, ~~~~ Rymknows23 (talk) 11:03, 16 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for clarifying, it is reassuring to hear that there is no COI issue here. Regards, MrsSnoozyTurtle 21:11, 16 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of FoodBeeper

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on FoodBeeper, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
