You voted for Roaring Twenties, this week's Collaboration of the week. Please come and help it become a featured-standard article. Falphin 03:36, 31 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Repeal

edit

Hey, Ryan

I reversed your change of section title. I made it Repeal primarily to tie in with the other amendments in the beginning--Prohibition and Suffrage. Plus, what is being repealed is fairly self explanatory. Plus, it's a section title. If the name tempts someone to read further, well, then its working. astiquetalk 03:17, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Wiki syntax

Hello, Ryan. I noticed your edit on Ancient Rome, nice work. Just a bit of advice: when you link a part of the word, the whole word displays as a link, so [[plague]]s and [[plague|plagues]] do the same thing: plagues and plagues, but the first one is generally easier to write and read. I'll also post the boilerplate welcome text below: it includes some good pointers. Cheers. Zocky 17:43, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Welcome

edit

Hello Ryan Prior, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on Talk page. Again, welcome!

I saw that you work on a lot of MTG-related articles here, so I thought you might be interested in checking out the MTG Archive wiki. Feel free to cross-post any of your original work. -- Netoholic @ June 28, 2005 13:29 (UTC)

Please do not use the article space to post messages to editors. -- Ec5618 14:53, August 23, 2005 (UTC)
I should remind you that other notices such as cleanup, wikification, stub notation, and others are considered acceptable. Short notices to editors, placed at the top of a page, are hardly new to Wikipedia and are widely accepted as a legitimate part of the editing process. Unless you expound upon your objection and/or propose an alternative to my solution, I will reinstate the notice and continue my work on restructuring the article. Thanks for your concern. I know of these templates. They serve a dual purpose by warning both readers and editors to issues with the article. Your message was not a template, not a warning to readers, and should have been placed on the Talk page. The Talk page is seen by all editors, but not by readers, which makes it perfect for such messages. -- Ec5618 15:28, August 23, 2005 (UTC)

Requesting comments on template alteration

edit

Hello. I see you are using one or more of the User instruments templates in your Babel box. Inspired by some recent developments, I want to rework all the templates in there (including ones used on user pages), to make them more like the regular Babel templates. However, I thought I should hear from the people this would affect before actually doing it. Please weigh in at User:Ddawson/User instruments. Ddawson 10:20, 6 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Power Nine

edit

An editor has nominated Power Nine, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Power Nine and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 14:59, 16 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
