Hi, your contributions to MiG-15 are probably quite interesting - only one problem however - they are largely in Spanish. Do you intend to translate the sections? Otherwise they'll soon be removed. --MoRsE (talk) 10:44, 30 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Also the references need a substantial amount of revision. FWiW Bzuk (talk) 05:41, 9 March 2009 (UTC).Reply
Hi, Bzuk. Please be more specific: What is wrong with the references? What revision they specifically need?Rusoargentino (talk) 01:55, 28 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Litvyak kills edit

Hi, your datas about the kills of Lidya Livyak kills are extremely interesting. Can I ask You how you discovered the names of the airmen that she shot down? As I know, they are listed in no available books on the market, so I would like to buy them. Reegards --Gian piero milanetti (talk) 05:51, 22 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Gian Piero. I have Italian ancestors, so it is nice to be in touch with an Italian person. I answer your questions: a) The fact that Litvyak shot down German ace Erwin Meier is mentioned by Vladimir Belyakov in his article "Russia's Women Top Guns" in the Aviation History magazine. b) The Ju.88A-4 of KG 76 downed on 27 September 1942 is mentioned by Christer Bergstrom in his "Black Cross-Red Stars, Vol.3" (I added more info from other sources). The remaining ones I simply crossed references with available German loss records published in books and Litvyak's claims. --Rusoargentino 15:39, 22 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Gian Piero: I already added the references to every German loss which match Litvyak's claims.--Rusoargentino 18:25, 22 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
The claimed kills which do not match German records must have references that say no German records support this claim. Please do not remove maintenance tags asking for references. Binksternet (talk) 00:32, 23 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I know about Meier, and Belyakov, but Bergstrom himself writes in "Stalingrad" that Meyer was shot down by Yaks from an Air Division different fron that of Litvyak, and still Bergstrom writes that the first woman to shoot down a plane was Komiakhova two weeks later... I am waiting to receive "Black Cross Red Star"... Actually I would like to ask You how you got the Luftwaffe loss records. I see that You have German sources as well, that honestly I do not have, about the JG 52... could it be possible to have scans of the pages with kills references? I wrote a book about Soviet Airwomen http://www.aviolibri.it/prodotti/8688_gian_piero_milanetti_le_streghe_della_notte_la_storia_non_detta_delle_eroiche_ragazze_pilo.php?page=1&ordina=data_inserimento

and I would like to add those references in the second edition... Saluti da Roma --Gian piero milanetti (talk) 15:50, 23 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

I'm aware that Bergstrom did not take into account Litvyak's kills on 13 September 1942, and that he considers that his first victories actually occurred on 27 September. But with so many sources mentioning her victories on 13 September, in that point so far I prefer to rely on these sources rather than Bergstrom. Regarding the losses of German fighters of JG 3, II./JG 77, JG 51, I./JG 53 and JG 52, I have the scanned pages of Prien's books, who gently the Czech citizen Jan Safarik forwarded to me. From him I have also some lists in Excel format about losses of other types of aircraft, like Stukas, Ju.88s and He.111s, etc, mentioning from what book(s) that loss is taken in every single case. I can share some info if you need it to. BTW, Congratulations for the book! With pleasure I will help you. :) Saluti da Buenos Aires.Rusoargentino (talk) 03:34, 24 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Buenos Dias... como estas? Muchas Gracias...You are very kind to help me... Can You send me these scans?

I would quote You on the "ackwnowledges page" of the next edition and send You, if You like, a copy of my book: You can read Italian, can You not? Anyway the book is very rich of never issued pictures of the Soviet Aviatrixes... Buona Pasqua! --Gian piero milanetti (talk) 05:55, 24 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Buona sera! Estamo tutti bene. :) Yes, I can send you these scans. Give me an e-mail address, and I'll send it little by little. I'm bussy in my job and personal matters, so it will be very little by little, but I'll do. I can read Italian (sometimes with the help of a dictionary), so you can send me a copy of your book. :) Buona Pasqua tambien! Rusoargentino (talk) 14:56, 24 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Buona sera a voi! I have just received Black Cross Red STar vol. 3 ... very interesting about Lidya Litvyak... unfortunately the vol. 4 has not been printed yet... I can give You my e mail, please delete it as soon as You copied it: [...] Tomorrow early in the morning I leave for Moscow to meet the Soviet veterans, I shall send You my book when I come back, so maybe You can quote me on some article about them... Hasta l'Huego! Gian
I already copy it. Grazie mille!! Good luck in Moscow!! :) I'll be in touch soon, I think. Rusoargentino (talk) 19:01, 24 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Buona sera (I am afraid that sooner or later somebody will tell me that the official language of en wikipedia is... English). Sei molto gentile (Usted es muy gentile?)... thanks for wishes of good luck... I need it... I have bronchitis and in Moscow it seems it will be cold and will snows as well, exactly on the day of the meeting in front of the Bolshoi with veterans... Hasta la vista, muy obligado!

Gian --Gian piero milanetti (talk) 20:14, 24 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello... come estas? While waiting the scans, I still would like to ask you another question: could you check on Your JG 52 books which German pilots claimed Yak fighters on 18-19 July and 1 august 1943?

Muchas Gracias --Gian piero milanetti (talk) 04:20, 27 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Ciao, come stai?

Tutto bene? Vorrei spedirti il mio libro sulle aviatrici sovietiche... ti interessa? --Gian piero milanetti (talk) 05:49, 11 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
