Rumikhawar, you are invited to the Teahouse edit

Hi Rumikhawar! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia.
Be our guest at the Teahouse! The Teahouse is a friendly space where new editors can ask questions about contributing to Wikipedia and get help from peers and experienced editors. I hope to see you there! Doctree (I'm a Teahouse host)

August 2014 edit

Hello, I'm IronGargoyle. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Muhammad  with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. IronGargoyle (talk) 19:46, 27 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Favonian. I noticed that you removed topically-relevant content from Muhammad. However, Wikipedia is not censored to remove content that might be considered objectionable. Please do not remove or censor information that directly relates to the subject of the article. If the content in question involves images, you have the option to configure Wikipedia to hide images that you may find offensive. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Please acquaint yourself with Talk:Muhammad/FAQ. Favonian (talk) 19:46, 27 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Also, the images are not universally prohibited in Islam. And Wikipedia is not bound by Islam's rules. As Favonian stated above Talk:Muhammad/FAQ explains why these images will not be removed from the article, and also explains how you can avoid seeing them if that is your preference. ~Amatulić (talk) 20:36, 27 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Muhammad. Favonian (talk) 20:39, 27 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history at Muhammad shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Wikipedia is not a religious encyclopedia and we cannot favor any religion. You really are not going to be able to succeed in what you are trying to do and will just end up blocked. That's up to you of course. Dougweller (talk) 20:42, 27 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
