Lots of potential

When you get a chance, can you look at what I did with The Frog and the Nightingale article? As a reminder, copyright violations are a big problem - if you cannot show better integrity than to try to take credit for others' work, you will not be allowed to edit here. Your plot summary probably would have been an unacceptably close paraphrase, too, if it was comprehensible. What do you think of focusing on one article, adding sources beyond just textbooks and a plot summary, and seeing if you can get one of your new articles featured on WP:DYK? That would be recognition that you could put on your user page, and a great achievement! VQuakr (talk) 09:42, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

No. VQuakr I haven't used any copyrighted work. Every single sentence were created by me and my brother. The only thing that can be a copy righted is the first para of the poem, everything else are created by me and my brother. Plot summary of a poem differs greatly from a story. To make the artilcle integrated, We used some critical comments. Yes, I am working on It and I am finding more primary sources as well as secondary. Beside this, I need your assistance. As you are a experienced editor you can make more modifications in it as well as help me to featured on WP:DYK. There maybe some grammatical mistakes, please help me to overcome it, or you may inform me about the mistakes. Thankyou. Rudra john cena (talk) 10:51, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
You copied the full text of the poem into the article - anyone can verify that you are lying simply by looking at the article history. You have attempted to lie about copyright violations in the past for images, and fooled no one then either. To be clear, I will escalate the issue and request a block for you the next time you attempt to take credit for content that is not your own. I can assist you with DYK's only after I am convinced that you understand the importance of copyright, and have the integrity to take responsibility for your own actions. What is your brother's user name? VQuakr (talk) 21:03, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
VQuakr I haven't lied, I confessed above that I added only the poem, when my brother told me that it is copy righted, I deleted all the strazas except the first one on my brothers advice. He is Titodutta. He had helped me in all my articles by changing its format and editing it properly. I haven't violated any copyright rules as I deleted it when ever I became aware that it is copyrighted. Mistakes are done by human. That doesn't mean I don't understand the importance of copyright. I deleted the poem myself after I became aware. It means that I have taken the responsibility myself. Please help me I am trying to take An Astrologer's Day to DYK. Please make the required changes to meet its criteria. Rudra john cena (talk) 05:36, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
I haven't violated any copyright rules as I deleted it when ever I became aware that it is copyrighted. This is not a consistent sentence. You violate WP:COPYVIO when you upload content that is not yours, whether or not someone points it out to you. Copying the full text of a poem and claiming ignorance that poetry from 1994 is still under copyright protection or uploading a photograph and claiming that you took that photo when you did not is not a "mistake." It is a conscious action, one for which you are attempting to dodge responsibility rather than assure the community that you can be trusted to continue editing. VQuakr (talk) 08:38, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
Beside this VQuakr I have seen the changes you made. I think the summary section can be copy edited to an encyclopedic standard rather then to delete the whole section. But you deleted the whole section. Can you copyedit the summary which I have given earlier in the article into a encyclopedic standard. It will be helpful for the article. Rudra john cena (talk) 11:12, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
That summary was so bad that it is better to start over completely than try to improve it into something worthwhile. Feel free to attempt a short rewrite, but please note that plot summaries should be a very short part of the article. VQuakr (talk) 21:03, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
VQuakr I am going to focus An Astrologer's Day for DYK can you copy edit the mistakes there and tell me if it meets the criteria for DYK. Thankyou. Rudra john cena (talk) 05:19, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
Only articles that are less than 5 days old are eligible, so An Astrologer's Day does not qualify. The 5 day period starts when the article is moved into main space, so if you wanted to start your next project in WP:AfC or your user space, you would have all the time to develop it to the point that it met the criteria. VQuakr (talk) 08:38, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
VQuakr so can I take An Astrologer's Day for Good article nomination????. Rudra john cena (talk) 09:56, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
Eventually. It would take many hours of work to get it up to GA quality standards, though. I think you may find this effort frustrating if you attempt it before building the requisite writing skills. VQuakr (talk) 17:40, 5 February 2014 (UTC)

AfC

I have removed the addition of your name to the list of active reviewers of submitted articles at Articles for Creation. You have already been asked by several admins not to patrol new pages. AfC requires a similar, or even greater knowledge of policies and guidelines and the various discussions on your talk page clearly indicate that you are not ready for either task. To avoid possible escalation and the eventuality of you being officially banned from these operations, please stop reviewing new material now. Please take this as an official admin request. Thanks. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 23:59, 8 February 2014 (UTC)

  • Support I agree. Please stop and gain more experience first. Rudra, you must listen to the community. That's the way it works here. Thank you for your understanding. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 00:19, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

Rudra, please also remove confusing and/or inaccurate userboxes from your user page - Wikipedia is a serious encyclopedia project and we do not want our editors to convey the wrong impression to our readers. Thanks. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 00:28, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

  • They have copied my userpage. --TitoDutta 00:39, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
Rudra, here's an idea. There are nearly 100,000 Stub and Start class articles listed at Wikiproject India, which appears to be an active project. You would be welcomed to join there, and when you have improved an article to that point that you believe it is ready to be moved up to the next class I or probably User:Titodutta would be willing to review and recognize you for your contributions. What User:Kudpung has made clear is that until you have shown that you can consistently create quality content, the community is not going to allow you to review the content created by others. Thanks! VQuakr (talk) 02:06, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

Rudra, please also remember that this is the English Wikipedia where we usually use standard English and English expressions. Using Indian English terminology can lead to embarrassing confusion - Titodutta is not your 'brother'. However, you may need to clear up any issues concerning other people using your account. Message

Hello. You have a new message at Anna Frodesiak's talk page. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 00:48, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

Another account

I strongly suspect that User:Jim Cartar is you. Here's why:

  • Man's username
  • Similarities in userpage:[1][2]
  • Both accounts use "in wiki" instead of "at wiki" or "on wiki". I find it hard to believe that someone who is a native speaker of English and a native of the United States of America, editing Wikipedia for more than 5 years would say "in wiki"
  • The signature colour
  • The fact that the very first edit was to work on your AfC

Considering your history with not being very honest, and your copyright violations, and considering that at least one Jim Cartar edit may be a copyright violation, I think it is best to tell us if Jim Cartar is you and if you have other accounts. Thank you, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:23, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

  • I think it is best to tell us if Jim Cartar is you — to explain that, "generally" such suspicious accounts are directly reported at WP:SPI without any notification or warning which often leads to account block. Anna Frodesiak is considerate here. And I spent hours to design my user page. Anyway... TitoDutta 01:48, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

Hey there, I don't know guyzzz what are you talking about???? @Anna your words are gnomic, I haven't understand why all are suspecting. @Titodutta I haven't understand "And I spent hours to design my userpage" what do you trying to explain. @Anna I does not appreciate your claims of Copyvio that you have mentioned above. I have just used some technical terms which is very much needed to approach the subject. Does similar userpages means " I strongly suspect that User:Jim Cartar is you." There are thousands of users who uses similar signature colors; example :Original European. BUT ABOVE EVERYTHING IS- "My user page has been designed by Rudra john cena" (you can ask him). Thus, it is not contort to have a similar userpage. I know this user personally. It is because you are a sysop and you are intent to suspect. Does that mean you have to suspect me only. If you want to report me then Go ahead, report it. I don't have any damn problem. Because I know as well as the other knows who we are. And please be resentful towards me for my uncivil behaviour. Jim Cartar (talk) 07:06, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

  • @Titodutta I haven't understand "And I spent hours to design my userpage" what do you trying to explain. Rudra has copied my userpage. "My user page has been designed by Rudra john cena" (you can ask him) — Please provide the talk link where you discussed user page designing. If you want to report me then Go ahead, report it. — depends on Anna Frodesiak, but it was my issue, I had done it already. TitoDutta 12:49, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
Hey, Tito I am a new user, my account is designed by Rudra. He is my regular friend in Facebook. I have just told him to design my user page and after doing so he provided my user name and password in facebook messages if you have any facebook account then login there and follow the link given in his user page contact section. And ask him there, Instead of distrubing me. Jim Cartar (talk) 13:44, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

Wait! There's more—

When I open an SPI, which I definitely will if I get enough time to waste I will simply provide the evidence above. Soham 14:09, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

Update: Rudra has now added a box to the "Jim Cartar" userpage, stating that Jim Cartar is an alternative account of Rudra john cena. That was obvious. The most obvious evidence was that "Jim Cartar" and Rudra both post false information about themselves. From the posts above, it was immediately clear that "Jim Cartar" is not a native speaker of English, as his userpage claims. Rudra (before he had his userpage deleted) was notorious for the false claims he made about himself. We can also see now that the comments above from "Jim", claiming that he and Rudra are two different people, are simply lies. Rudra/Jim, you need to stop lying to us and playing games with us. (For example, you should remove from the Jim talk page the false claims that you are an American and a native speaker of English. Although you deleted your userpage to hide the evidence, we can all remember that you said you were Indian and from - was it Kolkata?) All these games of yours waste the time of other editors and suggest that you are not here to build an encyclopedia. If you keep this up, it may be necessary at some time in the future to consider whether you should retain your editing privileges here. --MelanieN (talk) 16:01, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
Rudra/Jim, thank you for correcting the false information on the Jim Cartar talk page as documented by Anupmehra below. --MelanieN (talk) 17:38, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
Rudra, is the account Jim Cartar the only alternate account you have ever created? VQuakr (talk) 19:30, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
Yes VQuakr, the only and only alternate account I have is what I'm using right now. This is the only alternate account that I have ever created. Jim Cartar (talk) 20:33, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
MelanieN Thank you is not needed, I have just corrected the mistakes which I have made. Rudra (talk) 18:39, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
  • Comment: I'm not sure what this user is trying to establish. A teenager over-excited using Wikipedia? A diff link of the change made by Rudra on Jim Carter's userpage. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 16:53, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
I was moving by the Teahouse and I found that he has registered himself as a host there. I've no idea how/what he would offer help to newbie users when he himself is one. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 20:36, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
Removed. @Rudra, please gain more experience and make sure you have a good understanding of Wikipedia policies before adding yourself to the list again. --JamesMoose (talk) 21:28, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

Problem diagnosis

After following Rudra John Cena's edits almost from the beginning, I feel this is the problem—

  • Rudra joined Wikipedia, it was their first account, and was enthusiastic to contribute to Wikipedia without having any clear knowledge of what to do and how to do.
  • Rudra is an over-enthusiastic guy, who mistakenly thought that he would reach to the top within a few days or weeks. This point needs some explanation (You may skip this paragraph).
Long boring explanation, you may skip it
Explanation: I see such editors everyday. Being a reviewer of BollywoodHungama images at Commons, I regularly see new editors uploading low quality/watermarked images from BollywoodHungama and the first thing they do is replacement of the Wikipedia infobox image with an edit summary like "this image is new/better/latest". These are generally their favourite actors' or actresses' photos.
These editors find out DYK, GA, FA, CUVA, Teahouse, AFC all these places very soon and try to get involved in these places as soon as possible.
I feel the reason is psychological— a) human mind's natural desire to expand and grow. b) h(er/is} desire to establish superiority. c) there is another reason: "desire to showcase activity to friends, partners, society", like "Did you know, I am a primary editor of Any latest popular superhit film?". A large number of editors fall into this category (specially point c) , and many of them become constructive editors gradually. Anyway, I'll not give long lecture here, I'll talk to few editors to decide whether this subject Wikipedia:Initial over-enthusiasm an essay topic.
  • Very soon, their dream broke and their initial works were badly criticised.
  • Rudra thought to do a cleanstart without knowing "how to do it properly?" I have noticed some editors feel, Indian editors' edits are under-estimated here. So, Rudra disguised himself as a native English speaker from Las Vegas.
  • Here too he was caught and criticised.

Last line: I feel he is a confused, over-enthusiastic BUT good faith editor. TitoDutta 23:50, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

Still working at AfC

I see a possible problem here. User:Rudra john cena has been told multiple times that he should NOT review articles at AfC, due to lack of Wikipedia experience, and in fact was threatened with a topic ban if he continued. But his new alternate account, User:Jim Cartar, is now working at AfC. In some cases he has offered advice to the author about the article.[3] [4] At other AfC submissions he has worked on improving the articles but has not (as far as I can tell) actually reviewed them. [5] [6] [7] His improvements seem to be OK. How do people feel about this? It is OK for him to work on improving articles at AfC as long as he doesn't attempt to actually review them? --MelanieN (talk) 21:01, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

MelanieN I am not at all reviewing the articles the other users told me not to patrol pages. So I haven't done any thing related to patrolling. I am just helping new users to take there drafts to mainspace. Some users also thanked me for helping them. Does improving and suggesting other user to work here efficiently is a crime. Just show me what rules I breaked. I just want to help other new users thats all. I have not reviewed any article If you can show me that I have reviewed any page with this account then I will do what ever you say. Jim Cartar (talk) 21:44, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
His improvements seem to be okay but not suggestions. I guess, he would be better working at WP:COM. He should to be known of WP:PG first in order to suggest other users the same. I'll request Rudra to familiarise himself with Wikipedia policy and guidelines and gain some experience before working at AfC. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 22:03, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
Anupmehra I am actually not giving them suggestions but I am just telling them what improvements I did, It is necessary to let the editor know what changes I have made, followed by the changes that the author must do. And I have gone through some drafts randomly and find no one helping those editors so I take the step and tried to help them. Please let me know which suggestions of my violates the rules and guidelines of Wikipedia. Jim Cartar (talk) 06:28, 18 February 2014 (UTC)

Rudra, I realize that you are just trying to help. People have been telling you to improve things instead of writing new articles, and that is what you have been doing. If others here think that AfC is not a good place for your help - because so many of those articles are shaky or require an experienced eye - here are some places you can find lots of existing articles that need to be expanded and improved:

MelaineN I will surely stop improving AfCs whenever you tell. But I don't edit or expand drafts which are Shaky. I do improve articles which needs normal changes or format changes. But if I did any mistakes please let me know. Jim Cartar (talk) 06:28, 18 February 2014 (UTC)

Rudra john cena/Jim Cartar

Enough is enough.

I've restored the posts you made. Modifying them as you did in this edit changed the context of subsequent posts. Although it is your own talk page, refactoring like that is not appropriate.

You removed those posts with the edit summary "...I have undone all my uncivil behaviour please do not revert this edits. Uncivil behaviour is prohibited in Wikipedia so I have deleted it...." Well, that is a lie as far as I'm concerned and I'm not assuming good faith. The motive was to hide the embarrassing lies to cover up lies and not because of civility concerns. Do not revert.

Now, I am going to block the Rudra john cena account and you must use Jim Cartar and create no more accounts.

If experienced editors ask you to stay away from a particular area, listen and obey. No more of this "tell me where policy says I can't" stuff.

You have wasted a ton of community time and energy and produced very few constructive edits. We are also all fed up with your countless lies and deceit.

Be advised: Edit constructively according to the wishes of the community. Listen to others and comply. If you don't, and there is any more of this nonsense, I will personally block you indefinitely and that will be it for you and Wikipedia. Understood? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:37, 18 February 2014 (UTC)

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abuse of editing privileges. Thank you for blocking me Anna, So can I continue improve the AfC drafts as per MelanieN said. I have tried to improve drafts alot. And I have already recieved some good feedbacks. So, can I continue? You can see my contribution history. Why I have created this account has been explained by Tito above. Jim Cartar (talk) 09:53, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
I will leave it to others to mentor/monitor you. Just please follow community wishes. I suggest you start using your new talk page and start to leave this one behind. Good luck. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 10:52, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
