Hi! This was not a copyright infringement because the article you sighted was jut the announcement of the show on BroadwayWorld. happy to add that tot he citation - but do not see at all how this warranted a refusal to accept the article. Please explain!
Jonathan A. Abrams is an American television writer/producer and theatrical book writer. He wrote the book and story for the Broadway musical The Heart of Rock and Roll (musical).. His original screenplay, Juror No. 2, directed by Clint Eastwood, recently wrapped production and will be released by Warner Brothers Pictures Rubyzinner (talk) 19:16, 26 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
SORRY - clicked enter before editing and finishing my message: Hi! This was not a copyright infringement because the article you cited was just the announcement of the show on BroadwayWorld which also appears across trade publications such as Playbill and Broadway.com. Happy to add those to the citation - but do not see at all how this warranted a refusal to accept the article. Please explain! Rubyzinner (talk) 19:18, 26 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Jonathan Abrams

edit

Most of the sources I've looked at so far refer to him without the middle initial. You may find that if and when your draft Draft:Jonathan A. Abrams is accepted, the policy at COMMONNAME will be followed and the accepting reviewer will have to decide how best to distinguish between this Jonathan Abrams (writer) and the existing article about a different Jonathan Abrams, who is mainly known as the founder of Friendster. Inserting a middle initial is remotely possible, but will not be done if the preponderance of sources do not refer to him this way.

In particular, this means that your insertion of the middle initial into other articles such as Juror No. 2 will have to be undone and replaced with a suitable piped link. I understand how you would be eager to get this all accepted and updated, but some of the steps you are taking are incorrect. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 05:03, 27 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

No across the board now he can be seen referred to as Jonathan A. Abrams! Rubyzinner (talk) 16:08, 30 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

How did you obtain the rights to this image of Meghann Fahy? —C.Fred (talk) 19:27, 13 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

The photographer licensed the image for usage as long as he is credited. Rubyzinner (talk) 19:30, 13 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
And gave his explicit permission for it to be used here Rubyzinner (talk) 19:31, 13 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
So you don't actually own the image, then? He'll need to contact Wikimedia Commons directly and state that it's under a free license, free for any use with only the credit on the upload page. —C.Fred (talk) 19:32, 13 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes we do own the image. We represent Meghann and we and she own the image! Rubyzinner (talk) 19:32, 13 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
And to be clear, you're cool with the image being used on posters, coffee mugs, or any number of other commercial products, with no royalties coming back to you/her? —C.Fred (talk) 19:35, 13 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes! Rubyzinner (talk) 14:26, 26 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

And who is that? You don't need to state your name, but you need to be specific about your status as an employee or contractor of Fahy and explain how you got co-ownership of the image of her. —C.Fred (talk) 15:59, 26 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Headshot Cropped.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Headshot Cropped.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 20:13, 13 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Why'd you remove an image with a valid license?

edit

You removed a properly licensed image from Meghann Fahy on the 25th with no explanation of why you did it. Would you care to explain? Otherwise, the assumption is that you're intentionally disrupting the article. —C.Fred (talk) 18:03, 31 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

She does not want this image up - I submitted a new image that there are public rights to and it was removed. Please advise. Rubyzinner (talk) 15:01, 19 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Please advise! Rubyzinner (talk) 14:42, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia is not interested in what Fahy wants. Fahy does not control the information on Wikipedia.
Please explain the relationship, broadly construed, which you have with Fahy. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 15:59, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ah, I see that you are her publicist.
