AMA request

Hello Aeon, I hate to be an idiot but I was not clear about the exact formatting and I fear I will make the same error. Here is my request as best as I can articulate it! username: Rubymax content in question: T/Maker

my commentary about it: I entered a page for T/Maker today because I found it and its products were listed on various other wikipedia sites and when I clicked on it (in red) I was invited to start a page, which I did. I read your guidelines and stuck to the facts about the comnpany, its founding, founders, products, and ultimate sale. almost immediately it was tagged for deletion but I am afraid that even after reading the comments about how to change it, I am not sure that I can do anything to it. I can cite myself as the source (I was the co-founder and CEO of the company) or can show lots of press about the company by searching "T/Maker" on Google (though most of it, since the company was acquired ten years ago, is in reference to myself or one of the other former employees.) I don't have a problem with the page being deleted if the editors feel that T/Maker is not deserving of a reference, but I did want to make the plea that since it was one of the early pc software companies, one of the first (actually, the fifth) macintosh software companies, and one of the few such run by a woman (myself) it seemed to me at least to merit a place (however, I am biased.) Regarding the Template:Prod that was placed on the T/Maker article that you created: That is a simple way of tagging an article for proposed deletion that someone thinks doesn't meet the criteria for a Wikipedia article (in the case of your article, the editor cited WP:CORP--for articles on individuals editors will often cite Notability or Vanity). If you thought that the article should stay, you could have just deleted that template (another editor did do that fairly quickly).

Someone later tagged the article with template:Wikify, which just means that the article needs to have proper Wikipedia formatting, and especially internal links added for words or phrases that are already Wikipedia articles. I went through and did the Wikification, as will as did some editing of the article to meet other Wikipedia Policies and guidelines, such as using a neutral point of view. For the T/Maker article, if you have a graphic file of the T/Maker logo that you could upload to the Wikipedia, that would be a nice addition.

Since you also have edited Heidi Roizen, you might also want to look at WP:AUTO. Most of your edit to that article looks okay, but I don't understand why you deleted the first sentence, since that was a fairly good intro that explained the basics of why you should have an article on the Wikipedia. I've done some copy-editing to that article to make it easier to read.

If you have a good publicity photo that you could license to the Wikipedia under either the GFDL or Creative Commons licenses, that be a nice addition to the article. ^BlankVerse 23:05, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

all looks fine to me, both T/Maker and myself. I deleted the first sentence because it was straight from my bio and felt like more 'biotalk' than 'wikipedia entry' but if you want it back that is fine with me. I am honored to be an entry ! thanks -- Heidi
