Very good edit on the Adare page!

Hi again, although I thought Clonshire was a townland of Adare I am not certain, so your approach is probably for the best. If I can think of a way to include it in sport however, I will if thats ok? Oh yeah, I changed the population from 2592 to 2438 because the yeays were mixed up I think, sorry for not specifyin that on the discussion page- I'm not exactly a seasoned wikipedia editor!

I also have no idea whatsoever what the current construction status is of the new hospital but I feel it would be better off in the Adare Manor page because its a private hospital as far as I'm aware.

Overall I feel the page is looking very good by now, there isn't too much more we could add. I was wondering however if we could maybe post a picture of the thatched houses? I know I'm at the risk of turning the page into a slightly biased advertisment maybe, but I feel that the thatched cottages are one of the nicer (and unique) features of the village.

Also, I might try and add a bit more to the history of the village once I do a bit more research!

Yours, Jordan5nick 29 March 2007

Cottage photo uploaded, I'm using it as my profile pic. There's no copyright issues. Something to consider! Jordan5nick

N21

edit

Hi Rubensni - spotted your Adare Bypass article; a suggestion, should it be merged into the N21 article? (Sarah777 21:25, 13 August 2007 (UTC))Reply

I'd also recommend this. zoney talk 17:23, 23 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
I feel that the Adare bypass article would best remain seperate from the N21 page. I created it as an aside to the Adare page and, if anything, should be merged into that. The bypass is going to impact on Archaeology and the economy of Adare (including property rights) during the construction phase. When the road is completed then I would support merging it into the N21 page. rubensni 16:32, 27 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Peace Commissioners- Notary Public

edit

Just wondering why you deleted your contrib. on P.C's at Notary Public. I was hoping to link to the current equivelant of the old Irish J.P's RashersTierney (talk) 17:24, 6 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I was trying to gather information on the whole quasi-judical positions (Sheriff, County Registrar, etc.) in Ireland for Wikipedia. Notary public is actually a seperate position in Ireland to peace commissioner, a fact I only discovered after stumbling upon a more reliable source (due to the fact that the law is, as usual, a mess) thus I had to remove the section as it was factually wrong. For every category you create, you should specify parent categories to which it belongs. You do this by listing the parents near the bottom of the page, each enclosed in double brackets like so:

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Adare bypass as of 2009.GIF

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Adare bypass as of 2009.GIF requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File source problem with File:AtlanticCorridor Dec09.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:AtlanticCorridor Dec09.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:08, 13 December 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 03:08, 13 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Rubensni! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 874 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Proposed deletion of Rennicks

edit

The article Rennicks has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No additions have been made since last prod in June 2008. No indication of notability. Many claims unreferenced.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. HighKing (talk) 00:53, 17 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of Rennicks

I have nominated Rennicks, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rennicks. Thank you for uploading File:NatlAmbulanceSvs.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 05:29, 26 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Countdown to Zero

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Countdown to Zero, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.indiewire.com/film/countdown_to_zero. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 01:23, 20 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your upload of File:Ballyheigue village.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

Speed of Sound (Chris Bell song) moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Speed of Sound (Chris Bell song), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
