May 2015 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your user page may not meet Wikipedia's user page guideline. If you believe that your user page does not violate our guideline, please leave a note on this page. Alternatively you may add {{Db-userreq}} to the top of the page in question and an administrator will delete it, or you can simply edit the page so that it meets Wikipedia's user page guideline. You are welcome to use your userpage to introduce yourself and provide Wikipedia-relevant information, however it currently looks more like a directory listing for your business.   Hello, I'm Joseph2302. An edit that you recently made to Wikipedia:Requested articles/Business and economics seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Your company is not a HR business, please stop listing them as such on this page Joseph2302 (talk) 00:00, 19 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Contested deletion edit

This page should not be speedily deleted because i just started the page and going to include real estate information in my area in California

I have deleted your user page. It is intended for basic information about yourself or your Wikimedia-related activities. Although a lot of leeway is allowed in personalizing your user page, it is not a personal website, blog, or social networking medium, nor should it be used to promote yourself, or host a fake article, CV, or lengthy biography.

Please do not be offended, and please feel welcome here. I encourage you to help build the encyclopedia. If there is anything you ever need, just ask. Best wishes, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 00:17, 19 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 01:57, 19 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Promotional edits edit

Please stop adding your name, company, phone number, etc. to pages. It gives the impression that you are here to promote yourself and organization. If you persist, you may be blocked from editing. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 02:32, 19 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

I've deleted your userpage. You wrote "...I'll be writing about the real estate industry in California..." but all you've done so far is add your name, company, and telephone number to a number of pages. You've also tried a few times to get others to write about your origanization. Please stop. Again, please edit without adding any content related to you or your organization. If you add your company name and phone number again, you will have convinced us that you are here mainly or solely for promotional purposes. Thank you in advance for your understanding. Hello Anna, I've looked at the guidelines for user pages. It says I can add some personal information. Please advise

User page Your user page has a name like this: User:Example. (This link is to yours.) Its normal use is to give basic information, if you wish, about yourself or your Wikimedia-related activities. You don't have to say anything about yourself. If you prefer to put nothing here, then you can redirect it to your user talk page for the convenience of other editors. SEE LINK Below

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:User_pages

WP:UP#PROMO: "Advertising or promotion of an individual, business, organization, group, or viewpoint unrelated to Wikipedia (such as commercial sites or referral links)."
Again, please stop focusing on adding your promotional information and actually contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. --NeilN talk to me 03:28, 19 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

What kind of personal information can I add to my userpage? I added no referral links or websites, please advise since you deleted all my userpage information 3 times.

Nothing to do with your business or how to contact you for business-related matters. --NeilN talk to me 03:36, 19 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, NeilN. Yes, Ruben, Neil is correct. Sure, you may have content at your userpage that is about you, but we both know the real reason you want the content there. It is to promote you and your organization. I saw how your userpage originally looked, and I've watched all of your edits. So far, they have all been promotional. None have been constructive, and this last one to your talk page, was only for the purpose of being allowed to promote yourself. You have made it clear that you are here to promote yourself. The future must be constructive edits, no edits, or "other". "Other" will get you blocked. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 03:37, 19 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for clarification NeilN, since I'm new to wikipedia. I just need alittle guidance. Thanks!

RubenL007, you are invited to the Teahouse! edit
