License tagging for Image:Idiomas.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Idiomas.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

José L. Duomarco edit

It appears that you created the article José L. Duomarco in in error in a user sandbox and then moved it several times in an attempt to get it into the article space which created redirects. It has been moved into the correct space and the redirects have been deleted by an administrator. The article title was moved from Dr. José L. Duomarco to José L. Duomarco without the title Dr. to meet Wikipedia's naming conventions. Titles are not used in naming . Testing can be done in the Wikipedia:Sandbox and the contents should be copied and pasted not moved or redirected. I hope this helps and thank you for your contributions. If you need any further help just let me know on my user talkpage. Good article by the way.--John Lake 16:46, 8 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Can you explain the moves you made to the Dr. Jose L. Dumarco article edit

José Luis Duomarco

Your actions have attracted attention and discussion on Wikipedia:Village pump (assistance). The moves look innocuous but puzzling. Can you explain what that was all about?

Thanx.

The article is great! I just flagged it so I could go back and format the publication list with bullets. My flagging it was not a criticism, but just a reminder for me to go back and help format it. I would have done it right away, but I didn't want to stop the task I was working on. The style guide for biographies is getting huge, so it takes a long time to get familiar with the look and feel of the biography style. When someone first changed something I wrote, my first reaction was anger. Then I realized that they are just doing a lot of the formatting and indexing that I had not learned yet. I still don't know the names for all the stub templates. Some people love to research and write; others are obsessive about indexing, spelling, formatting and other editorial issues. Think of them as your summer interns, doing all the dirty work so you can do the more creative work of researching and writing. Write me using email if you want to stay in touch. Go to my user page and then on left hit "email this user". I formatted the references you added, and placed a semicolon between the names. One question ... you have some of your quotes indented once and others indented twice, was that intentional?

Turn on your email so we can chat there....

Unspecified source for Image:Duomarco.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Duomarco.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:30, 10 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 02:30, 10 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Duomarco.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Duomarco.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:42, 8 September 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:42, 8 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
