April 2010 edit

You are being issues the following two warnings for your recent edits.

Do not add spam links.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.

Do not use wikipedia for self or company advertising.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:47, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in this edit to Country music. Inappropriate links include links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that serve as advertising or promotion. Thank you. 5 albert square (talk) 23:47, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

This is your final warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you add inappropriate external links, as you did with this edit to Country music. 5 albert square (talk) 23:48, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Michigan entertainment edit

A tag has been placed on Michigan entertainment, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for spamming or advertising. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

Request reason:

This was my first time doing this. I was talked into trying this. I appologize sincerely and will not do it again.

Decline reason:

The only thing you did so far is spamming that link at high speed, clearly intending promotion. Besides this you may also want to have a look at WP:NICETRY reason number 5. In other words: Not unblocking. Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 09:40, 28 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Surely the 5 warnings to stop might have drew your attention to the fact that you were acting incorrectly? (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 09:36, 28 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
