Proposed deletion of West Hartlepool War Memorial edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article West Hartlepool War Memorial, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Reads like an essay and is non-encyclopedic.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. I am the author of that which was deleted at a time when I was not fully aware of the way in which Wikipedia worked, as is made clear by my various statements in the Talk Page, to the effect that I was given no opportunity eithr to be consulted, or to participate. For this once again I need to make an apology, for Wikipedia follows in this sense the rule of law that interested persons should be allowed to provide relevant evidence. What then is the relevant evidence to this matter of what is now called (entirely because I myself raised the matter on Wikipedia, it was originally called by everyone the 'Hartlepool War Memorial', and is still so called by the Secretary of State, that which is in itself in contradiction with history, and confusing since there is another memorial which is indeed as originally named the 'Hartlepool' War Memorial) the 'West Hartlepool War Memorial'? Of course I indulged in a 'lengthy essay'. I hope that the point of this 'lengthy essay' will now be made clear in simple terms in the recently added material to the Talk Page in replacement of material once again removed, but this time sent, I am glad to say, to the Archives ... what is in question is simply this, the correct, in legal terms, definition of the term 'Victory Square', or indeed any other architectural location, where it originally formed part of a war memorial, and has been changed to such an extent that it is almost entirely unrecognizable as such, together with the addition of other structures in clear contradiction with the architectural character of the monument that still stands, but no longer stands on the original square. I make a suggestion now, therefore, to the way forward, and this text is copied in hard copy text by post to the local authority. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.23.229.250 (talk) 13:14, 17 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
